WHSP Medical, P.C. is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our interdisciplinary team comprised of skilled physicians, dietitians, mental health professionals and other medical personnel. Reporting to the Director of Mental Health, the mental health clinician will contribute the mental health team and is dedicated to supporting the mental and emotional well-being of female athletes across the lifespan - from adolescents to adults - through integrated, outpatient care.
The Mental Health Clinician provides individual outpatient psychotherapy and mental performance consultation to athletes navigating a wide variety of challenges including but not limited to identity development, REDS and/or eating disorders, life transitions, depression, anxiety and performance anxiety. The clinician supports athletes seeking to elevate their overall performance and wellness in and out of sport. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the athlete experience, trauma-informed care, evidence-based therapeutic interventions and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual outpatient psychotherapy to female athletes of all ages, with a focus on injury recovery, identity transitions, anxiety, depression, and performance-related stressors.
Deliver therapeutic support for athletes experiencing Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDS), eating disorders, or disordered eating in close collaboration with dietitians and medical providers.
Participate in regular multidisciplinary case rounds and consultations with team members to ensure comprehensive treatment planning and coordinated care.
Utilize an evidence-based, trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach to care.
Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and regularly assess progress.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency and licensing standards.
Provide psychoeducation to athletes and their families on mental health topics related to sports, recovery, and resilience.
Engage in ongoing professional development related to sport psychology, eating disorders, and best practices in athlete mental health care.
Required Qualifications:
Hold a completed master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field from an accredited program or doctoral level degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program.
Currently licensed or ability to obtain licensure (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, PsyD, Ph.D.) in the state of Massachusetts no later than 6 months after hire date.
At least 1-3 years post-graduate clinical experience in providing mental health services to athletes throughout the lifespan.
Experience working with athletes, preferably in a sports medicine setting.
Clinical experience with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, injury recovery, and/or eating disorders.
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently licensed in the state of Massachusetts as a Clinical/Counseling Psychologist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Knowledge and experience providing performance psychology services to athletes.
Demonstrates knowledge and experience in working with athletes with eating, trauma-related concerns, and/or identity and life transitions (e.g., sport retirement, gender identity, collegiate athletics) in the athlete experience.
Actively participates in related professional development, including openness to feedback and ongoing self-examination.
Strong creativity and problem-solving skills.
Specialized training in evidence-based care (e.g., trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, ACT).

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities
Help the Community Engagement team with in-depth research of top corporate targets
Attend and participate in recruitment events as necessary

Develop content related to upcoming recruitment events including, but not limited to, promotional flyers, presentations, and follow-up materials

Participates as a member of the mental health team on an inpatient and/or outpatient mental health unit. Provides direct patient care including treatment planning, implementing plans, documentation, and milieu safety assessments and activities such as group activities.
I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Serves as a member of the Mental Health Team and serves both internal and external customers including patients, families, nurses, physicians and other colleagues who support the delivery of care and services.
2. Provides clear, timely communication to the Registered Nurse (R.N.) regarding observations and changes seen in the patient. Records behavioral data on appropriate data sheets.
3. Maintains patient safety by performing patient safety checks, environmental safety rounds, utilizing fall prevention alternative devices/strategies as directed utilizing de-escalation and calming tools and strategies with anxious patients and following the Restraint Policy standards when caring for a restrained patient.
4. Participates and shares responsibility for the development and maintenance of a safe and therapeutic environment.
5. Serves as a leader or co-leader for group activities such as goal setting group, dual diagnosis groups, various activity groups, and structuring and supervising recreational activities. Handles routine situations and must request assistance from identified resources when more direction is needed.
6. Assists in medical emergencies as directed by R.N. Utilizes proper safety techniques and body mechanic in all work-related activities.
7. Obtains and records vital signs (temperature, pulse, and respiration, blood pressure and pulse oximetry). Measures and records patients' height and weight as assigned by R.N.
8. Performs a variety of test and procedures which may include but not limited to EKGs, phlebotomy, and intake and output as assigned by R.N.
9. Documents daily progress notes, and group notes (per policy) and as assigned by R.N.
10. Assists the R.N. in other medical and psychiatric interventions as directed.
11. Provides personal care as appropriate, working to optimize patient's independent functioning in performance of daily routines.
12. Works to utilize interventions to de-escalate patients and if unsuccessful participates in restraints in accordance with training and education as directed.
13. Performs safety checks on patients and unit as directed. Documents findings.
14. Reviews and follows treatment plan with patient. Provides feedback to clinical team regarding implementation of the plan. Implements special treatment strategies as indicated in the plan.
15. Maintains logs, organizes patient care charts for admission/discharge/transfer and maintains medical records as instructed.
16. Attends staff meetings and in-service programs as required or directed. Keeps current with hospital and unit changes by reading communication boards and/or books, emails, bulletin boards, posted notices and reads and responds to UMMHC e mails on a regular basis.
17. Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
18. Compiles with required health, safety and HIPAA requirements.

Direct Counsel is seeking a Health Law PBM Associate or Special Counsel to join a national Am Law 100-caliber firm with a premier Health Law Practice. This is an off-track (non-partnership) position and is ideal for attorneys with strong commercial contracting experience in the managed care and pharmaceutical supply chain/PBM space.
About the Health Law Practice
The Health Law Practice provides comprehensive guidance to a diverse array of clients, including providers, payors, PBMs, manufacturers, distributors, and other pharmaceutical supply chain participants. The team advises on complex litigation, transactions, operational issues, and regulatory matters, leveraging a cross-disciplinary approach to help clients navigate challenges and pursue business opportunities.
Responsibilities
The Associate or Special Counsel will support a national team advising health plans in their contracting relationships with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and other pharmaceutical supply chain vendors. Core responsibilities include:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating PBM contracts and related commercial agreements (e.g., rebate agreements, pharmacy network contracts, vendor arrangements).
Leading and supporting the full contracting lifecycle for PBM procurements, including coordination with clients and in-person negotiations (occasional travel required).
Counseling clients on operational, regulatory, transactional, and contract administration matters affecting health plan operations.
Managing multiple contract workflows and collaborating with partners, clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel.
Handling disputes arising under PBM and health plan contracts.
This role requires the ability to work autonomously on day-to-day contract drafting and negotiations while maintaining close communication with team members.
This position requires approximately 60% in-office presence in accordance with firm guidelines.
Qualifications
JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
Admission to or eligibility for admission in MA, NY, or DC.
Minimum of 3+ years of transactional or commercial contracting experience in the managed care, PBM, or pharmaceutical supply chain industries.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing health plans, PBMs, and related entities preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
Experience with PBM operations, managed care contracting, or in-house PBM roles encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, or related human service field.
2. One (1) year of previous direct patient care experience.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
1. At the beginning of shift, read all progress notes, test results and other patient data to determine patient status for past several shifts.
2. Reviews and implements treatment plan/behavior management plan to achieve patient goals.
3. Reads Kardex and care plan entries on patients to ensure consistent and accurate delivery of care.
4. Identifies tests or appointments scheduled for patients that shift and provides supportive education.
5. Meets with patient early in shift to review the day's schedule.
6. During the shift, talks with patient about mental status, behavior and progress patient is making towards identified treatment and discharge goals.
7. Throughout the shift, reports pertinent information to charge RN such as level of safety, changes in behavior, increase in agitation, physical complaints, any signs of physical illness, vital signs, intake and output, and activity of daily living status.
8. Gives observation and input regarding the patient to Nurse Manager/Charge RN when unable to communicate directly at treatment team meetings.
9. Shares observations and pertinent information with social worker, clinical colleagues, and patient family/caregivers.
10. Documents patient activities, behavior and mental status each shift as it relates to the problem list and treatment plan.
11. Conducts individual contacts with patient throughout shift to introduce self and review patient needs.
12. Identifies patients teaching needs and reports them to the RN.
13. Identifies issues related to progress towards discharge or any barriers to discharge.
14. Encourages participation in therapeutic group programs and initialized behavior plans.
15. Provides patient/family education and supports regarding milieu programming, goals of hospitalization and therapeutic interventions in support of meeting those goals.
16. Participates in crisis intervention through the use of verbal and physical de-escalation of potentially unsafe or aggressive behavior per CPI technique and seclusion/restraint policies/procedures.
17. Conducts patient safety checks as assigned to monitor both individual patient safety as well as unit mood and rising acuity concerns in the milieu.
18. On admission, conducts and/or assists RN with patient search for contraband, vital signs, height, weight and orientation to the unit.
19. Clarifies and implements unit rules indicated in patient guidelines packet.
20. Continuously evaluates patient progress toward goals clearly evident in documentation, participation in treatment planning, shift report and report to charge RN.
21. Serves as role model for other mental health counsellors and provides constructive peer feedback.
22. Orients new staff to unit under the direction of the RN.
23. Assists RN in administering physical care and personal hygiene measures to assigned patients as appropriate.
24. Leads and co-leads therapeutic process oriented and activity groups.
25. Preserves patient rights relative to all aspects of patient care.
26. Promotes improvement of unit program through individual, committee, or quality assurance activities i.e., completing patient profiles, task force membership, quality assurance monitoring, and unit based supporting activities.
27. Accepts and responds to feedback regarding clinical and professional issues from peers and nurse manager and utilizes the feedback to improve practice and skill.
