The Mental Health & Disabilities Specialist consults with Teachers, Administrators, and parents in their work with children, supports Teachers in establishing and strengthening healthy parent-child relationships, and assists in the IEP/IFSP referral process for child mental health and disability services. The Pierce County Detention and Corrections Center Mental Health Department provides services to people with mental illness who are incarcerated in the correctional facility.
