Responsibilities: Additional Duties:

• Assess patient’s mental and physical status based on symptoms.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, psychologists, or nursing staff, to develop, implement, or evaluate treatment plans.
• Consult with psychiatrists or other professionals when unusual or complex cases are encountered.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Distinguish between physiologically and psychologically based disorders and diagnose appropriately.
• Prescribe appropriate medications for physical and mental health issues. Will plan and institute a course of treatment demonstrating knowledge of drug action, interaction, and reactions. Prescribe or recommend controlled medications according to existing core privileges.

Provide exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and co-workers. Provide convenient, friendly patient care to all who come through our door seeking health related services. Assess patients' mental and physical status based on the presenting symptoms and complaints. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members; including other providers, nurses, front desk staff, x-ray, and other support staff. Diagnose psychiatric disorders and mental health conditions. Provide supportive therapy to individuals or family members for those with chronic mental health conditions. Document patients' medical and psychological histories, mental status exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, or outcomes. Educate patients and family members about mental health, medications, and treatment plans. Monitor patients' medication usage and results. Administer and monitor prescribed prescriptions for psychotropic medications as allowed by laws and regulations.

Purpose of Position -All ARNP's are individuals licensed and trained to care for and treat patients within the scope of their licensure under the supervision of a collaborating physician. They are essential in the facilitating of patient flow and may only give orders as specifically directed by the collaborating physician. Failure to follow the physician's directives will be grounds for termination. Able to care for patients ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric.

They actively participate in Q&A programs. They shall not be a member of the Medical Staff and, as such, are not entitled to vote or hold office in the Medical Staff. Adheres to Adventist HealthCare's Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
