About the Position
We're seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our Riverside office as an IOP Behavioral Medicine Specialist. You will work on a beautiful campus, with a robust clinical team, specializing in workers' compensation cases. We provide high-quality intensive outpatient care to patients who have been injured at work and require comprehensive behavioral medicine intervention.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate intensive outpatient group therapy sessions focused on behavioral medicine interventions

Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the assigned Supervisor, the Mental Health Specialist has responsibility for providing support services to individuals and families as identified in the designated program and/or individualized plan.
Essential Functions:
Provides individual and family support services in accordance with the individualized plans. ABOUT THE POSITION
The Superior Court of Los Angeles County is seeking experienced Mental Health Clinicians to perform highly responsible professional duties in resolving high-conflict child custody disputes arising from divorce, legal separation, paternity actions, or domestic violence cases. Clinicians use two primary methods to assist parties-mediation, which leads to agreements that become court orders, and evaluation, which results in formal custody recommendations to the court. These emotionally charged cases require clinicians to operate within strict ethical boundaries while demonstrating a deep understanding of family law, court procedures, and mental health practices. The role demands strong skills in counseling, interviewing, evaluation, and referral, as well as the ability to navigate complex family dynamics with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Child Custody Mediation - Conduct confidential mediations in cases of separation, parentage, divorce, and domestic violence to develop child custody/visitation agreements prioritizing the child's best interests.
* Child Custody Evaluations (Brief Parenting Plan Assessments) - Perform in-depth assessments, interviews, and home visits to evaluate family dynamics, recommend custody arrangements, and deliver findings through formal reports or court testimony.
* Child Interviews - Conduct sensitive, age-appropriate interviews with children to gather input relevant to custody decisions, sharing observations via written reports or testimony.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you must meet ALL the following requirements at the time of application:
* A master's degree* from an accredited college, university, or program in social work, psychology, marriage, family and child counseling, or other behavioral science substantially related to marriage and family relationships
* Five (5) years of PAID, VERIFIABLE, FULL-TIME post-master's degree experience, within the last 7 years, in the field of family counseling or clinical assessment
* A current license from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences in marriage and family therapy, clinical social work, or clinical psychology

Therapists work closely with the pain management team to ensure that all individuals who are in our care receive high-quality clinical services.
Therapists provide services that are reimbursable by Worker's Compensation and will be expected to complete clinical and administrative documentation required by this entity.

Provide individual therapy to adult clients in an outpatient pain clinic.
Conduct weekly psychoeducational class sessions for individuals attending the outpatient daily Functional Restoration Program (FRP) at the clinic/via telemedicine.
Provide brief individual therapy to individuals in the FRP and evaluating their clinical progress in the program.
Perform Assessment and treatment planning for active caseload.
Provide clinical care informed by best practices in the field of pain psychology.
Refer to other modalities within the clinic as needed.
Document all client care in our EMR system.
Provide clinical care that complies with all the legal and ethical standards.
Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs.
Qualifications:
