Purpose & Impact:
Responsible for providing early childhood mental health support to Head Start staff, children, and families. Provide a broad range of services, including mental health support in classrooms; training and coaching staff; screening, assessment and referral services; and providing parent trainings. This individual will also collect data, maintain records and support compliance in all facets of Head Start Performance Standards and state regulations. Essential Functions:
Visit each classroom at least twice a year to conduct classroom observations, document/report recommendations, and develop and implement support plans.
Conduct child observations and review screenings/assessments of the social-emotional and mental health of children birth to five years old with parents, teaching staff, site supervisors and mental health staff.
Meet with classroom teams to review classroom observations and develop and implement support plans as needed.

Provides assessment, diagnostics, treatment planning, individual and/or group therapy to patients at the Escambia County Jail as part of an established mental health care program. * Serves as a resource to other care team members.
* Communicates with patients by phone and/or mail to initiate, schedule, cancel or follow-up on referrals and/or scheduled procedures.
* Alerts appropriate care team members with any issues/updates related to referrals, including updates to the referring provider.

Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Training
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Associate's Degree Preferred
Required Years of Experience
* At least two (2) years of scheduling and/or referral management and coordination
* One (1) year of clinical practice, preferably in the specialty of Obstetrics.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
* Bilingual (Spanish speaking preferred)
* Knowledgeable of all current Tampa Family Health Centers policies and procedures
* Knowledgeable of managed care policies as related to referrals
* Knowledge of medial terminology
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral
* Ability to navigate and enter data into an electronic health record
* Exceptional ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with the Windows suite of applications.
