As a MentalHealth Assessment Specialist I, you will serve as an integral member of our Behavioral Health Services team, conducting assessments and evaluations of patients' mentalhealth conditions. What you will do:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients' mentalhealth status using standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.

In this role, you'll ensure compliance with local fire codes and ordinances, identify potential hazards, and help educate property owners on fire prevention best practices. The position is for the summer months typically based on a 40-hour work week.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Primary responsibility will be to conduct fire inspections to promote fire safety and prevent fire hazards. These inspections will include site meetings with property managers and owners.
2. Enters inspection results in the computer data system and manages various computer applications as assigned.
3. Prepares and submits reports of inspection findings with pertinent code sections of violations.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associate's degree or equivalency of college hours in the process of obtaining a bachelor's or master's degree in fire science or a related field.

Creating and maintaining collaborative community partnership agreements with local community-based mentalhealth services programs to ensure families have access to mentalhealth services in their local community for both parents and children

Behavioral Health Intake Assessor/Case Therapist II
Full time, 40 hours/week
Must be licensed to practice independently.
The Case Therapist II reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
* Complete Integrated Assessments and Treatment Plans in alignment with Medicaid and rule 2060 requirements
* Make appropriate clinical recommendations for clients with mentalhealth and addictions needs based on presenting symptoms.
* Assess and evaluate client needs, strengths, goals, and resources.
* Intervene, stabilize, and manage acute crisis situations.
* Work with an interdisciplinary team in reviewing cases and developing individual plans.
* Consult with other center staff regarding problem assessment and treatment planning.
* Consult with other service agencies around case-specific and programmatic issues.
* Refer and link clients to other human services programs.
* Serve as a liaison to other agencies as needed.
* Create clinical documentation in support of services provided on a timely basis.
* Train other providers and non-providers in areas relating to service specialties.
* Functions cooperatively as a member of the treatment team.
* Consult with and back-up hotline and other volunteer services.
Qualifications
Required:
* Master's degree in behavioral health
* Two years supervised clinical experience working in a behavioral health setting
* Licensed to practice independently
* Licensed Clinical Professional Counsellor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or APN, or Clinical Psychologist
* All NM, Ben Gordon Center (WR849) employees, at point of hire and annually, are required to have a valid State of Illinois driver's license, current auto liability insurance, and an annual driving abstract

The Intern, Community MentalHealth collaborates with Program Directors, Team Leaders, and Community Support Specialists to provide direct service to members. This includes but is not limited to group counseling/therapy, individual counseling/therapy, case management, teaching, assessment, assertive community treatment, job support, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and psycho-social rehabilitation services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend New Staff Orientation prior to starting the internship.
Provides direct service to members, as indicated by the service plan, while supervised by an appropriate, designated staff person. Consistent with the intern's level of experience and training, this potentially includes but is not limited to individual counseling/therapy, case management, teaching, assessment, assertive community treatment, job support, managing medications, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and group counseling/therapy. This may be done in the community or on site at a Thresholds location, but the majority of services will be provided in the community unless otherwise specified by a supervisor.
Completion of all assigned paperwork in a timely fashion, such as individual and group documentation, attendance reports, service plans and evaluations as assigned by the supervisor.
Provide accurate and timely information to the supervisor on all topics and issues important to the rehabilitation and well-being of Thresholds members.
Attend staff and team meetings as assigned by a supervisor.
Maintain a professional demeanor with members, colleagues, and collateral contacts consistent with agency ethics and code of conduct guidelines.
EDUCATION
Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's degree program with a major in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Vocational Counseling, Family Therapy, or other related human service programs.
