This position will provide telephonic crisis assessment with the City of Dallas 911 call center dispatch. The role of the behavioral health clinician is to screen and assess for risk harm, to identify the level of priority for the call. The clinician will work in conjunction with the City of Dallas staff and Dallas Police Department and assist in communicating, prioritizing, and coordinating care as deemed clinically appropriate at the time of the call.
HOURS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Shift 1-7am-3:00pm and Shift 2- 2:00pm-10:00pm

Provide crisis assessment services in a variety of modalities.

Develop person-centered crisis plan and assist the individual in executing the plan during and post crisis intervention.

Documents services in the automated clinical record keeping system with 24 hours after services have occurred.
Provides overall service coordination, referral, linkage, and advocacy to consumers with varying needs. Performs duties in concert with other members of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Participates in interdisciplinary team staffing, presents psychosocial assessment findings and encourages consumer to attend staffing.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
Independent licensure is required LPC, LMFT, LCSW.

Ability to calculate moderately complex figures and amounts to accurately report activities and budgets.
REASONING ABILITY:

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment.
Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Centers liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business. Must have an acceptable driving record.
