We are seeking a talented MentalHealth Specialist, Court Liaison to join our team of nearly 500 employees. The MentalHealth Specialist, Court Liaison, works with justice involved individuals, who are diagnosed with a mental illness, through their transition into treatment and services in the community. The Court Liaison will have a primary role in Monroe County MentalHealth Treatment Court and attend all Court appearances to provide routine progress updates of assigned participants on active caseload. This role requires significant collaboration between the Court systems and local treatment/service systems; attention to deadlines, Court requirements and completion of documentation in a timely manner is essential.
CCSI is partnering with Monroe County Office of MentalHealth to hire a MentalHealth Specialist, Court Liaison This position is employed by CCSI and working on behalf of Monroe County Office of MentalHealth.
In this role, you will
Have a routine presence as liaison in Monroe County MentalHealth Treatment Court
Maintain caseload of estimated 35-45 participants
Record progress notes in comprehensive, timely manner and complete all reporting as required by the Monroe County Office of MentalHealth and MentalHealth Treatment Court
Participate in case review meetings with direct Court staff, as scheduled
Receive assigned cases, review and/or formulate recommendations, submit referrals based on client needs
Recommend adjustments to treatment plans, advocates for equity and system movement to support individual identified needs
Obtain status updates and feedback from direct providers and Court officials to assist with development, and implementation of performance improvement activities for participants
Assess discharge planning needs of individuals being released from local jails, hospitals and other treatment agencies and interact with other personnel as needed for release planning
Communicate in a professional manner, orally, written and/or electronically, as a representative of Monroe County to all Court and community providers and partners
Be culturally responsive to the population being served in the development, design, monitoring, evaluation and/or implementation of programs and services.
Have working knowledge of the local behavioral health and social services network to assist with matching individuals with appropriate resources to promote health, wellness, and recovery
Use team approach in working with Socio-Legal Center staff, Courts and community partners.
Incorporate a recognition of diverse clientele into daily activities.

About the Role
Deliver remote, evidence-based therapy to adult clients (18+), practicing modalities like CBT, DBT, ACT, MBCT, TLDP, IPT, EFT, and MI.
Maintain a caseload of 7-20 attended ongoing therapy and consult sessions per week
Use data to drive effective treatment and adjust your approach based on client progress
Collaborate with other mentalhealth providers as needed and refer clients when appropriate
Maintain progress notes and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations
Requirements

Independently develops sophisticated diagnostic formulations, implements evidence-based interventions, and utilizes validated measurement tools to assess treatment response. Routinely collaborates with others in the healthcare team and a variety of disciplines (medicine, surgery, nursing, care management, mentalhealth counseling) to identify high-risk patients with behavioral health and medical comorbidities, and facilitates access to other specialty psychiatric and substance use care as needed.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently and with considerable latitude for autonomous judgment performs complex psychosocial assessments and diagnostic formulations for patients and their families when indicated. Ensures the development and implementation of comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for patients with clearly defined therapeutic goals.
- Conducts the course of individual, family, couple and systems-oriented and evidence-based psychotherapies within the accepted standards of practice as delineated by UMHP and the Department of Psychiatry, receiving clinical and administrative supervision by senior staff and/or faculty. Supervises other clinicians, and trainees as appropriate.
- Assesses successful completion of therapeutic goals and plans termination of therapy accordingly.
- Meets minimum target for clinical productivity set by service director and Division.
