POSITION SUMMARY
The MentalHealth Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be a Licensed, Master's Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions and provide MentalHealth treatment including LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Licensed MentalHealth Counselor performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
The Licensed MentalHealth Counselor performs administrative consults for specialized social services as determined by the specific needs of the Institution.
The Licensed MentalHealth Counselor performs specific psychiatric social service work on the Behavioral Health Unit of a Juvenile Detention Facility.
The Licensed MentalHealth Counselor assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct special projects as requested.
The Licensed MentalHealth Counselor participates in and conducts in-service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff and provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.

Work Schedule:
Normal schedule is Monday to Friday, between 6:00am and 6:00pm, 8 to 10-hr shifts.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited psychology program.
Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a licensed clinical psychologist.
License: Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist from any state.
