About the Position
We're seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our Riverside office as an IOP Behavioral Medicine Specialist. You will work on a beautiful campus, with a robust clinical team, specializing in workers' compensation cases. We provide high-quality intensive outpatient care to patients who have been injured at work and require comprehensive behavioral medicine intervention.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate intensive outpatient group therapy sessions focused on behavioral medicine interventions

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist/Head of Service to join our healthcare team. We are offering a $2500.00 sign-on bonus! The Mental Health Therapist/HOS will oversee and coordinate the daily clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations; and provide direct clinical services to clients at the STRTP.
The available position is located at the agency's Pomona STRTP.
The Mental Health Therapist/HOS is responsible for the delivery of clinical services to assigned clients. Clinical services are geared towards symptom reduction as a means to improve functional impairments. The therapist ensures coordination of care and flexibility of services. This position oversees all clinical activities and works with case management, rehabilitation and medical staff in the provision of comprehensive service delivery.
The Mental Health Therapist is the HOS for the Pomona STRTP facility. The HOS is responsible for ensuring that youth in the STRTP have a mental health assessment; are receiving appropriate mental health treatment services; services are documented; reports are completed timely based on agency policy; documentation and recordkeeping requirements are met; and that each child in STRTP has commonality of needs with other placed clients; This position oversees clinical activities and requires collaboration with therapist, rehabilitation and medical staff in the provision of comprehensive service delivery.
DUTIES:
1. Completes an Admission Statement and within five days of placement of clients at STRTP
2. Completes a mental health assessment within five days of placement of clients at STRTP
3. Formulates, implements and evaluates client treatment plans
4. Provides individual, group therapy and family therapy
5. Provides crisis intervention
6. Establishes positive, nurturing relationship with clients within professional boundaries and in accordance with agency policies
7. Attends team meetings, CFTMs, case conferences, staff meetings and trainings
8. Meets weekly with supervisor concerning client and program issues
9. Maintains thorough documentation including, but not limited to, intake documentation, progress notes/reports and discharge summaries in compliance with the standards set by STRTP Policies and Procedures and in accordance with Department of Health Care STRTP regulations, the Department of Mental Health and California standards for Med-Cal EPSDT and other funding sources
10. Completes progress notes within 48 hours of service delivery
11. Reviews case records, and makes recommendations regarding methods of treatment and meeting client needs
12. Arranges transportation for clients not provided by STRTP
13. Monitors the quality of mental health services provided to clients
14. Meets at least monthly with other HOS staff assigned at other STRTP
15. Completes quarterly clinical reviews on assigned clients
16. Completes Transition Determination Plans on assigned clients prior to discharge
17. Work hours that are determined by the needs of client
18. Participates in the on-call duty, providing crisis intervention support to clients and residential staff
19. Meets required productivity requirements
20. Participates in peer reviews
21. Participates in agency/program performance and quality improvement projects
22. Adheres to agency safety protocols
23. Performs other duties within the therapist's scope of practice as prescribed by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Monitor student progress and support academic success
+ Provide college and career counseling
+ Guide students through college applications and financial aid
+ Organize career fairs, college visits, and workshops
+ Offer individual and group counseling for emotional and social issues
+ Address bullying, peer conflicts, and mental health concerns
+ Respond to crises and coordinate emergency interventions
