Formulate treatment plans for members in consultation with other members of the collaborative health team as the member's condition warrants. Ensure a behavioral health perspective is incorporated into comprehensive care planning for complex patients. Complete initial intakes and assess patient risks and needs, delivering therapeutic interventions and therapy, and referring and navigating to community resources for access to the broader behavioral health continuum of care. Provide psychoeducation to members, emphasizing mental health promotion and disease prevention Support referral for members who need additional specialty behavioral health care (e.g. to an in-patient facility) and advise on treatment plans until members are engaged in appropriate care. Participate in multi-disciplinary case conferences to ensure holistic and appropriate care for patients. Provide formal and informal coaching and education to other clinical and non-clinical team members about supporting patients with behavioral health issues. Support post-discharge planning to prevent readmissions. Timely and appropriate documentation in our EMR to manage member care and coordination with the multidisciplinary team. Position Scope The HSE Intern supports the site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) function through involvement in the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety and environmental programs. This role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing safety, qualitative/quantitative risk assessments, and regulatory requirements while gaining practical experience in a controlled, mentored environment. The intern will work closely with the HSE Program Manager and cross-functional teams to support compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as company HSE standards. Participates in site and corporate HSE initiatives and supports continuous improvement activities. Key Responsibilities Assists with facility safety, health, and environmental assessments and helps document findings. Supports incident and near-miss investigations by gathering data, maintaining logs, and assisting with follow-up actions. Helps maintain safety metrics, reports, and documentation (e.g., training records, inspection checklists, SDS files). Assists in updating safety procedures, work instructions, and training materials. Participates in safety audits and helps track corrective actions to completion. Supports development and delivery of HSE training activities, including new hire orientation and toolbox talks, as assigned. Assists with hazard communication activities and evaluates the effectiveness of safety controls under supervision. Supports emergency preparedness activities and drills. Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Core Requirements Basic understanding of workplace safety, environmental health, or regulatory concepts. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to analyze information and follow established procedures. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment. Willingness to learn and apply HSE principles in a hands-on setting. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation (ADA). Desireable Skills and Experience Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Science, or a related field of study. Interest in health, safety, and environmental compliance within a manufacturing environment. Prior internship, coursework, or project experience related to safety or environmental topics is a plus. Ability to follow safety rules and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
