Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Supervisor, Adult MentalHealth Services (AMHS), coordinates services of an interdisciplinary team of mentalhealth professionals, paraprofessionals and support staff (social workers, counselors, peer support specialists, mentalhealth workers, etc.) within two Mental Court Teams. This program serves adults with behavioral health and co-occurring disorder service needs who have involvement with both the 55th District and 30th Circuit MentalHealth Courts. The team assists with connecting participants with services and monitoring compliance as required by the courts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: clinical and administrative supervision of staff, liaison services to the courts and local police departments, consultation and participation in program planning, budget monitoring, periodic direct services to consumers, and staff hiring. The Coordinator participates in weekly review meetings and court hearings for both specialty courts. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI's mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: Possession of a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related mentalhealth field required. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required. Must have at least three (3) years of work experience with individuals with Mental Illness. Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in a lead position or progressively more responsible position. Must have at least one (1) year of experience working with Probate Courts and Law Enforcement. Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use is required. Demonstrated leadership and good judgment skills are required. Must be able to communicate accurately and effectively both verbally and in written form. Must be familiar with computers.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Duties and Responsibilities
Develop a person-centered treatment plan that focuses on addressing the needs of the client to include family engagement when applicable
Coordinate care for the client with family and other involved individuals, i.e. school personnel, probation officer, mentor, DHHS, medical personnel, etc
