Position Summary
The MHAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma team that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients. This role will be hired to support the potential US commercialization of our lead investigational product, which, if approved by the FDA, could be the first ever treatment to target muscarinic receptor circuits for schizophrenia. The MentalHealth Account Specialist team will call on the providers and care team members specifically at Community MentalHealth Centers and Certified Community Behavior Health Centers. You will be a critical member of the launch team. Geographies may cover multiple states as they will mirror our District footprints.
The primary role of the MHAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for the appropriate patients. To meet the HCPs expectations, the MHAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue, consistent on-label discussions and leveraging effective avenues for partnering. CE^3.
The role builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.
The MHAS liaises with other BMS functions, including partner portfolio aligned Therapeutic Areas Specialists (TAS) to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) - by meeting HCP needs in a timely and scientific manner. This role will prioritize the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performance objectives while exemplifying BMS values.
The MHAS role is field-based and is anticipated to spend 100% of their time in the field engaging solely with our customers in Community MentalHealth Centers and Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers.

Portfolio Promotion
Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.

You'll play a vital role in delivering holistic care to Veterans requiring mentalhealth treatment in inpatient acute psychiatric units.
As a Psychiatric MentalHealth Registered Nurse, you will provide quality, age-specific healthcare utilizing sound clinical judgment to ensure positive patient outcomes for Veterans. You'll assess, plan, implement, supervise, teach, evaluate, and document patient care while serving as an integral member of the treatment team in creating a therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
Provide holistic nursing care to male and female Veterans aged 18-65+ in inpatient acute psychiatric units including the Behavioral Health Recovery Unit (BHRU)
Conduct comprehensive mentalhealth nursing assessments and Clinical Institute Withdrawal of Alcohol Scale evaluations
Manage care for medical and psychiatric emergencies, detoxification (withdrawal symptoms), and patient safety protocols
Insert and maintain peripheral lines, accompany patients to appointments/procedures, and coordinate care focused on patient transition through continuum of care
Document care accurately according to facility policies, provide patient and family education, and support patient self-management after discharge
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to assess patient data and identify age-specific care requirements while working with COVID-19 positive patients and Patients Under Investigation as required
Qualifications
Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN, CCNE, or ANCC accredited)
Current RN license in any U.S. state, territory, or District of Columbia (full and unrestricted)
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field highly preferred; Master's degree in Nursing preferred
Minimum two (2) years of experience in mentalhealth setting (exclusive of agency assignments)
Must have worked within the last six (6) months in mentalhealth settings
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for critical care assignments
COVID-19 vaccination required (or approved religious/medical exemption)
Ability to speak, read, understand, and write English fluently
Computer literacy and ability to use VA electronic health record systems
Physical ability to perform nursing duties without restrictions

12-hour shifts with alternating weekend coverage
Day Shift: 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:30 PM - 8:00 AM

STATE LICENSED MASTER'S DEGREE SOCIAL WORKER - HOSPICE SERVICES JOB PURPOSE: To provide social work services based on the individual needs of the patient and family as identified by the IDG and on the Psychosocial Assessment. Social Worker will provide psychosocial/supportive services to assist the patient and family by minimizing the stress and problems that arise during the terminal illness, related conditions, and the dying process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides professional counseling, assessment of psychosocial needs, assessments for financial needs and services including providing written explanation of Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance benefits to prospective patients/families when necessary, and provides guidance with regards to the grief and loss process.
* Completes psychosocial history and assessment, assessing the needs of the patient and family systems' psychosocial needs, within the guidelines of the policies and procedures.
* Provides crisis intervention and suicide assessment.
* Participates in the development of the plan of care with the interdisciplinary team, collaborates with other team members, and participates in updates to the plan of care.
* Provides services to the patient and family consistent with the plan of care.
* Assists the patient and family to cope with the psychosocial changes and stresses related to the terminal illness.
* Locates and obtains resources necessary to the financial, social, and emotional well-being of the patient.
* Provides counseling to family/caregivers to assist in coping with approaching death of the patient.
* Documents in the medical record all services.
* Provides bereavement services to families of patients and refers families to other resources as needed.
* Provides training in psycho-social needs of patients/families to hospice staff/nursing home staff.
* Recruit, train, and supervises hospice and home care volunteers, including assignments to families and patients.
* Assist with the physician and other health care team member's in understanding the significant social and emotional factors related to the health problems of the patient.
* Supervise/advise assigned BSW or baccalaureate degree person working in capacity of a social worker.
* Prepares clinical and progress notes according to policy and procedures.
* Uses appropriate community resources.
* Participates in discharge planning.
* Participates in ongoing inservice education.
* Acts as a consultant to agency personnel.
* Coordinates care provided to patients and families under the direction of the Director of Health Services.
* Other duties as assigned by Administrator.
* Demonstrate knowledge of hospice services, progression of terminal illness, DNR/advance directives, financial resources, cultural diversity, family life cycle, grieving process, and burial planning.
* Employ skilled social work interventions (e.g. assessment, counseling, education, referral to community resources, crisis intervention).
* Continually reassess psychosocial needs of patient/resident and family (including bereavement risk).
* Maintain, formulate and adhere to individualized care plans to address patient/resident/family needs.
* Identify and attempt to resolve ethical situations that arise in the course of providing hospice care. Seek assistance from leadership as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
* Participate in center/agency surveys (Licensure / JCAHO) and any subsequently required reports.
* Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to keep abreast of changes in your field as well as to maintain current license/certification, as required.
* Attend and participate in mandatory inservices.

* Comply with corporate compliance program.
