Collaborates with faculty and staff in the provision of mental health and other wellness outreach activities. **Job duties:** + Provide short-term individual and group counseling to students on who present with a broad range of mental health issues and diagnoses. Provide crisis assessment & intervention; provide consultation and outreach to students. Conduct neurodivergent screening to students who have questions about potential ADHD or Autism diagnosis that impede their academic success. Maintain client data and records in accordance with legal and professional standards. + Design, market and conduct non-credit workshops or courses on mental health-related topics that decrease risk factors and increase protective factors for the student body. Collaborate with faculty, staff and students to identify topics for workshops, seminars, and retreats related to skill development, self-discovery, life transitions, life purpose, and wellness. + Engage in individual supervision and case conference on weekly basis to consult on clinical and professional development issues. + Provide consultation and guidance to faculty, staff, as well as parents when they have concerns about a student's behavior or emotional well-being. + Actively participate in student affairs, wellness activities and other related programs. + Stay abreast of legal and practical issues related to the counseling field. Serve and participate on Student Affairs or University of Washington Bothell committees as requested. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Minimum Requirements:** + Completion of a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) or the degree requirement from an APA-accredited program in counseling or clinical psychology before the position start date. Completion of an APA or APPIC-accredited internship + One year of relevant counseling experience with young adults, preferably in a higher-education setting. **Additional Requirements:** + Demonstrated experience in providing therapy to an outpatient setting for clients who present with a wide range of presenting issues and clinical diagnoses. + Strong crisis assessment and intervention skills. + Demonstrated experience providing therapy to individuals with a wide range of backgrounds while practicing from a foundation of cultural humility. + Experience in designing and delivering effective psycho-educational workshops, outreach, and community intervention. + Oral and written communication skills commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position. + Demonstrated experience in the accurate interpretation and application of professional standards and all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the scope of responsibilities and duties. + Basic computer literacy. **Desired Requirements:** + Previous experience delivering counseling services in a university counseling center. + Prior clinical experience using brief counseling models is strongly desired. + Experience delivering effective counseling to individuals with varied perspectives, experiences, and needs. + Prior experience delivering outreach programming to underserved communities. + Knowledge and experience making discerning judgments regarding complex ethical issues. **Conditions of Employment:** + Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to facilitate evening therapy groups or involvement in community intervention (workshops, training para-professionals, informational fairs, etc.) **Compensation, Benefits and Position Details** **Pay Range Minimum:** $57,600.00 annual **Pay Range Maximum:** $60,000.00 annual **Other Compensation:** - **Benefits:** For information about benefits for this position, visit **************************************************************************************** **Shift:** First Shift (United States of America) **Temporary or Regular?** This is a temporary position **FTE (Full-Time Equivalent):** 100.00% **Union/Bargaining Unit:** Not Applicable **About the UW** Working at the University of Washington provides a unique opportunity to change lives - on our campuses, in our state and around the world.
