The Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Intern will support initiatives that promote a safe and compliant work environment in a high-volume automotive manufacturing facility. This role provides hands-on experience in workplace safety programs, environmental compliance, incident tracking, and employee training. The SHE Intern will work closely with the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team to strengthen IFA's commitment to employee well-being and environmental stewardship. Key Responsibilities
Assist with safety audits, inspections, and workplace assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Support the development and delivery of employee safety training programs.
Help track and analyze incident reports, near misses, and corrective actions.
Participate in environmental compliance projects, such as waste management, recycling, and sustainability initiatives.
Update and maintain safety documentation, procedures, and reporting systems.
Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve safety practices and hazard controls.
Prepare presentations, reports, and updates for SHE team and management.

Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Safety management/ Engineering , Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and environmental standards preferred.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and in teams.

Sit at a workstation and operate a computer: ~70% of the time.
Vision required for inspections, documentation, and computer work.
Hearing required for safety monitoring and effective communication with employees and contractors.
