The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for an experienced Licensed MentalHealth Coordinator with a keen eye for detail to audit and review the quality assurance pertaining to the mentalhealth services in our 16 correctional facilities. Under the supervision of the Program Evaluation Administrator, this position ensures the contracted vendor provides appropriate, timely, and professional care to inmates at the assigned state facilities and/or contract private prisons. The Licensed MentalHealth Coordinator provides feedback to the site level administration, and assists in the development of coordination of care.
Job Duties:
-Reviews any mentalhealth records pertaining to mentalhealth services which are provided by the contracted vendors
-Reviews Health Needs Requests forms and appointment schedules to ensure on-site services are timely
-Works collaboratively with Facility and Contract Bed to monitor concerning mentalhealth issues
-Monitors and reviews services for unusual patterns of utilization or denial
-Assess the clinical appropriateness of mentalhealth services to include provider referrals and documentation
-Conducts utilization, reviews, spot checks, and scheduled quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and -ADCRR policies and procedures

What You'll Do:
The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) manages and maintains the safety of the individuals and staff. Takes vitals and assists individuals in meeting their needs while on the unit by providing exceptional customer service. We are looking for a Children's Rapid Response Therapist to join our Crisis team. The Clinician will be responsible for completing a one-time thorough clinical assessment of a child that is referred by Department of Child Safety and/or Juvenile courts. What You'll Do:
The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) manages and maintains the safety of the individuals and staff. Takes vitals and assists individuals in meeting their needs while on the unit by providing exceptional customer service. This is a unique opportunity to step into a well-balanced role with a mix of inpatient and outpatient care, a light call schedule, and a clear path to partnership - all in one of the most desirable metro areas in the country.
Position Highlights
Full-time position with a negotiable inpatient/outpatient mix (approx. 50/50)
Typical workday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Clinic in the morning, hospital rounding in the afternoon
Light weekend call: 1 weekend per month (general neurology only)
No stroke call - handled separately by a dedicated stroke team
Clinic Volume: 6-10 patients per half day
Inpatient Rounding: 10-15 patients per day
Strong clinical support, including:
Nurse Practitioner
Medical Assistant
Front desk staff
