About The Role
We're looking for a dedicated MentalHealthTherapist (Licensed Professional Counselor or equivalent) who is bilingual in Spanish to join our growing team. • Maintain the EOB email inbox; reviewing various requests from credentialing, underpaid claims, medical records,

• Collaboration with billing specialists, account managers, clients, and other relevant parties to resolve and identify
payment-related issues.
• Investigate the source of unidentified payments to ensure they are applied to appropriate accounts
• Interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Handle all follow-up, research, and general responsibility of finding and identifying proposed negotiations via
insurance portals, scans, faxes, and emails.
• Oversee the Negotiations inbox and provide timely resolution to requests.
• Manage and review contract negotiations between SCA/LOA's.
• Notate and store all relevant negotiation information in Google Suite and companies billing systems.
• Assist in the timely resolution of client inquiries and requests.
• Collaboration with billing specialists, account managers, clients, and other relevant parties to resolve and identify
payment-related issues.
• High-volume review and delegation of client communication and insurance correspondence.
• Achieve performance goals or objectives (individual or departmental) as established by the Manager.

What it Takes to Join the Team
• 2-3 years of experience working in Payment Posting and Negotiations in the behavioral healthcare space.

• Knowledge of Third-Party Pricer's to review trends/patterns.
• Proficiency in ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT, medical terminology, and levels of care.

Interviews participants with a trauma-informed approach to obtain information concerning social history, treatment and other pertinent information that would be necessary to complete an Integrated Assessment & Treatment Plan (IATP) using the State mandated IM+CANS tool with all new clients.
Conducts primarily individual MH therapy sessions, with family and couples therapy sessions being provided, as deemed necessary & appropriate to the client's treatment protocol.
Maintains case files (i.e., clinical documentation) for all clients assigned to caseload, with all files being subject to regular internal quality assurance audits.
Works as part of a team to further develop program initiatives and to increase program referral network.
Performs community outreach & advocacy work with the goal of increasing the visibility & understanding of Perinatal Mood Disorders and Mental Illness, and to promote community treatment options.
Identifies and provides referrals for additional services, as needed.
Engages in regular clinical peer review of cases, particularly those involving the potential risk for self-harm or harm to others (particularly in cases where an infant or child could potentially be at risk).
Attends Group Supervision/Team Clinical Case Review meetings/Discharge Reviews/COD.
Participates in agency sponsored trainings, agency meetings, community outreach events, health fairs, fundraising events, etc., as directed by the Program Manager.
Plan and administer therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, stress management therapy to assist participants in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors.
Clinically evaluate patients to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior.
Review results of psychological evaluation and community documentation to support participants in best assessing needs.
Be able to change and adapt methodology and therapy service administration as appropriate related to participants needs.
Be able to discuss progress towards goals and objectives, such as medication regiment, family relationships, educational programs, social development, discharge plans, financial concerns or other behavioral problems identified with participant.
Responsible for carrying a clinical caseload, wither via secured HIPPA Compliant Telehealth platform or face to face at a HAS location, while maintaining required productivity level as detailed by the Clinical Operations Director.
Consult external community providers concerning treatment plans and for coordination of care as required.
Performs all other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Should have some familiarity with IL-DMH Rule 132 & IL-HFS Rule 140 and their general provisions & requirements pertaining to the delivery & documentation of Community MentalHealth services.
Must possess above average written and verbal communication skills.

Therapists must be committed to clinical excellence which includes exhibiting a strong desire for learning, growing, and deepening their skills as a therapist by attending trainings, pursuing certifications of interest, engaging in outside consultation if needed, and maintaining other forms of professional development.
Therapists must be committed to creating community within the team. There are various opportunities for engagement through supervision and consultation and regular attendance is strongly encouraged.
Caseloads will start small with the opportunity to grow into full time positions. Therapists may not work in other groups, private practices, or outpatient settings, but may work in other therapeutic settings that do not present a conflict of interest as they build their caseload.
Therapists are expected to complete administrative tasks associated with their role each week. This includes completing progress notes within 48 hours, logging their time weekly for payroll, and updating their calendars each week.
Therapists must be punctual, organized, and detail oriented. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Therapist must be able to work independently on tasks assigned
