Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Clinical Psychologist - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, this position is split as follows: 60% Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation ( Brain Injury patients) 40% Department of Psychiatry and will enhance access for psychological service delivery for traumatic brain injury (TBI), cognitive, and neurological conditions.
Clinical Psychologist - Pediatric Development, experience working with young children (ages 3-6), particularly those who may have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Strong understanding of autism and early childhood development, experience conducting diagnostic assessments, including the ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule),
proficiency in administering and interpreting cognitive (IQ) and academic achievement testing. This role plays a key part in supporting early identification and intervention planning for children with developmental and behavioral health needs.
Clinical Child Psychologist, experience and ability to treat children and adolescents who present with trauma and safety concerns, development delays, autism, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an APA accredited graduate school required.
Experience: Two years clinical experience which may include the year of internship required. The second year must be post-graduate and include supervision by a licensed Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Licensed by Virginia by the Board of Medicine as a clinical psychologist or by the Board of Psychology as a Psychologist (Clinical), or in West Virginia by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists required. Must have de-escalation training successfully completed within four months of hire and then maintained annually going forward when working in the inpatient environment.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Meets credentialing requirements. Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with physicians and other health care providers. Must have a commitment to continuing education.

Exciting opportunity to join multi-disciplinary team at the state-of-the-art Wellness Circle Crisis Stabilization Unit, a 16-bed, short-term residential crisis stabilization unit that serves individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities who are in psychiatric crisis. Services include crisis intervention, individual, group and family counseling, case management, medication management, social and medical detoxification and linking individuals to ongoing mentalhealth, substance use or co-occurring services. Monitors symptoms and behavior of clients and provides crisis intervention/crisis stabilization services under clinical supervision. This position is primarily responsible for 10-hour, awake overnight shift coverage, including weekends and holidays. As needed, other shifts may be required in order to provide 24-hour shift coverage.

OR a bachelor's degree and a valid Qualified MentalHealth Professional (QMHP) or Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
First Aid and CPR certification, within 90 days of appointment and maintained throughout CSB employment;
MANDT Certifications within six (6) months of appointment and annually thereafter;
Valid Motor Vehicle Driver's license with fewer than six demerit points (or the equivalent in another State) maintained throughout employment with CSB;
Qualified MentalHealth Professional (QMHP) within 6 months of appointment.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, a driving record check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter.
This position is emergency/essential services personnel. (Required to report for duty during inclement weather and/or other emergencies.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or nursing.
2+ years of post-degree experience working with adults who suffer from serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders in an intensive treatment group home, hospital emergency department or psychiatric unit, community-based behavioral emergency services, and/or crisis stabilization setting.
Certified by the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Qualified MentalHealth Professional (QMHP).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to transport clients in agency vehicle(s), observe/monitor/document client behavior, perform CPR/First Aid, climb stairs, lift up to 20 lbs, participate in recreational activities, prepare meals, work up to 12.5-hour shifts to include awake overnights. Ability to review/write clinical notes in records and use keyboard driven computer. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

Job Summary
Loudoun County Department of MentalHealth, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking an energetic and dynamic LMHP for the position of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Behavioral HealthTherapist.
ACT is an evidence-based model supporting adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses or co-occurring substance use disorders by responding with treatment interventions in non-clinic-based settings throughout the entire County of Loudoun. ACT provides ongoing care to individuals who frequently experience episodes of homelessness, hospitalizations, and/or incarcerations. This ACT Behavioral HealthTherapist II provides treatment interventions in a person-centered and patient-driven manner.
Responsibilities include crisis intervention, assessment, treatment planning, care management, individual and group therapy, and coordination of treatment services. Complies with federal, state and agency policies and procedures. Demonstrates the ability to function as a member of a busy, mobile clinical team utilizing advanced clinical skills. Will be required to transport individuals in program vehicles.
Schedule includes days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. This position has On-Call rotation responsibilities and eligible for Emergency Overtime and On-Call pay and is eligible for a $6,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree; license eligible within one (1) year of hire or possess professional licensure through the VA Department of Health Professions Board as a: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP). Two (2) years of professional experience working with individuals who have a mentalhealth and/or substance use diagnosis, which may include internship experience.
Preferred Qualification (s):
Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Job Summary:
The Clinical Therapist works collaboratively with the client to plan, develop and monitor the individualized service plan. Treatment plans will address co-occurring disorders, leverage Alpas Clinical programming, address family systems and other factors influencing patients recovery. Evaluate clients; mental and physical health, addiction, or problem behavior and assess their readiness for treatment
Facilitate daily group therapy sessions
Complete all clinical case notes same day as service provided
Help clients develop individualized treatment plans, goals and objectives, including support of education about medically assisted treatment options and referral to/collaboration with other resources on the medical and psychiatric teams
Review and recommend treatment options with patients and their families
Help clients develop skills and behaviors necessary to help aid their individual recovery journey from their addiction and work toward behavior modification
Work with patients to identify behaviors or situations that interfere with their recovery
Teach families about addiction or behavior disorders and help them develop strategies to cope with those problems
At times, provide case management services such as community resources and referrals for employment
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Must hold valid State of VA or Credential that allows for practice of Drug and Alcohol Counseling
Must have 2 years minimum post licensure experience treating clients with SA, MH, and co-occurring

This position is a clinician on a multidisciplinary team, where co-workers are therapist/case managers, medical staff, peer support specialists and criminal justice system partners. Serving as a primary therapist/case manager, provides a wide range of professional treatment services to diagnostically, culturally, and socio-economically diverse client populations with serious mental illness, substance use, emotional, and co-occurring disorders as well as developmental disabilities.
Some of the duties of the Behavioral Health Specialist II include behavioral health assessment, direct substance abuse and/or co-occurring mentalhealth services, case management, education, supportive counseling, groups, crisis intervention and stabilization for persons incarcerated within the Adult Detention Center.
Work hours include weekend and evening hours, as well as some holidays. Position is a 100% onsite position at the Fairfax Adult Detention Center.
This position is eligible for an additional annual environmental bonus of $5,408 for full-time positions.

Overview:
The Communications and Public Engagement Office is seeking two motivated Community Engagement Interns to assist in enhancing community outreach and engagement efforts. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public engagement, event planning, and program management within a local government setting. Interns will also have the unique opportunity to learn community engagement design from an expert practitioner.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Community Engagement Coordinator with community outreach, event planning, and program recruitment. Outreach and engagement events include pop-ups, workshops, and community meetings.
Contribute to writing and design tasks, including drafting newsletter articles and generating social media content.
Brainstorm new ideas to be more inviting and accessible to a wide range of people.
Analyze and synthesize data received from online and in-person engagement to provide staff with an understanding of community sentiments.
Learn and apply community engagement design techniques under the guidance of an expert practitioner.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Experience with social media and graphic design is preferred.
Work Schedule and Pay:
Interns are expected to work approximately 7-10 hours per week, with required evening or weekend commitments for community engagement meetings.

OR a bachelor's degree and a valid Qualified MentalHealth Professional (QMHP) certification or Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification plus 1,500 hours of clinical experience;
OR a master's degree in psychology, social work, nursing, counseling, or a related field plus 500 hours of clinical experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
MANDT Certifications within three months of appointment and annually thereafter;
CPR certification, within 90 days of appointment and maintained throughout CSB employment;
Medication Administration Assistance Certification within 90 days of appointment;
Valid Motor Vehicle Driver's license with fewer than six demerit points (or the equivalent in another State) maintained throughout employment with CSB;
Qualified MentalHealth Professional (QMHP) - within 1 month of hire.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, a driving record check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter.
This position is emergency/essential services personnel. (Required to report for duty during inclement weather and/or other emergencies.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in psychology, social work, or closely related field.
Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness.
Experience working with individuals in their homes or in a residential setting.
Professional (QMHP) certification
