The ideal candidate is a skilled and experienced (5+ years) Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist/Certified Athletic Trainer (dual credentialed) who is tired of the high-volume clinic setting and wants to work in a low volume cash-based environment!
The physical therapist must be a competent manual therapist, have a track record of going above and beyond in continuing education, and be passionate about delivering quality care and making a real difference in the lives of their clients. We integrate manual therapy, advanced therapeutic exercise, and frequency-specific microcurrent. We also use other high-end tech including Normatec and the Neubie by NeuFit (which is being used in the NFL and with other pro athletes) very heavily. Training will be provided on the job as needed. We utilize a team approach to care here, so clients are shared across the schedule between physical therapists. We also see a fair number of vestibular and post-concussion patients. Experience in that realm is valued.
Typical work-day includes:
One-on-one sessions with patients, some patients are seen on the half-hour. There is an aide to assist with transitions and modalities.
Follow-up and new patient calls with current and prospective physical therapy patients is required - Time is provided for this while you are on the clock.
Documentation time is provided at the clinic.
The patient population is active and athletic - primarily aged 35+, with some elite and professional athletes, and a few children and teens with orthopedic conditions.
Physical Therapist Responsibilities
Assess each patient and develop an appropriate treatment plan with measurable goals and time frames
Prepare and submit clinical and progress summaries based on identified and attained goals
Ensure that other treating medical professionals have the necessary information to appropriately evaluate the patient
Qualifications
A valid CA state license to practice as a physical therapist
Minimum of 5 years experience as a physical therapist
Strong manual therapy background and skills
Interest and commitment to learn on the job and grow in professional skills
Interest or willingness to teach small group fitness classes of 3-6 people
Preferred: Pilates experience or certification, NAIOMT training, IASTM, Paris courses, Mulligan, John Barnes, Jones Strain-Counterstrain, Upledger, Barral Visceral Manipulation, Makenzie, Institute of Physical Art, vestibular and concussion continuing education.
Compensation:
PT: $48 - $85/hr based on experience and expertise/skills (to start) with an opportunity for advancement in pay based on performance.
Part-time eligible for Health insurance: (employee choice: PPO, HMO, HSA).
Full-time eligible for unlimited Medbridge continuing education units.

What You'll Do
Provides individual and family therapy within the HFA program.
Provides a range of treatment services including, but not limited to; intakes, assessments, ongoing treatment planning, linkage to community resources and discharge planning.
Develops effective, individualized treatment plans and monitors client progress.
Provides primarily field-based services, to meet the needs of clients, which may include where the client lives or in other community locations. Will drive own vehicle to and from these sites.
Meets performance "expectations" as assigned by the F5LH grant and HFA program needs.
Completes all documentation according to Agency, HIPAA, and funder standards within required timelines.
Participates in supervision, meetings and trainings related to position and services provided including evidence-based practice trainings, boosters and consultations assigned.
Hours: Full-time (40-hours), evening hours may be required to accommodate HFA client/family needs.
This position is fully onsite for the first four months. Hybrid work options are available after successful completion of four months of employment
Starting Salary:
L.M.F.T. and L.C.S.W. $77,000 - $79,500
Additional years of experience will be considered as well
$3,000 differential available for bilingual Spanish-English proficiency (must pass Spanish Proficiency Assessment to qualify)

Assist members with becoming involved in daily activities, socialization, health maintenance, sense of community, and progress in recovery reflective of The People Concern's model which emphasizes customer choice, harm reduction, and psycho-social rehabilitation
Work cooperatively and cohesively with other members of the HSSP team, including participation in weekly staff meetings, group clinical supervision, and trainings
Develop and maintain a complete, accurate, and current member file with all funder-required documents.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field of study from an accredited university.
Valid registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
At least 1,000 clinical hours accrued towards licensure.
Experience conducting DMH Intakes and Adult Full Assessments.
Experience and skills set with assessing and developing clinical diagnostic impression.
Current, valid California Driver's with an acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle.
Able to transport members in your vehicle.
Outstanding clinical and strong team-building skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
DMH experience, psychiatric crisis response and assessment experience.
Job Description Work Environment:
Combination of field and office environment
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.
On occasion walk or drive to different local sites
Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
May need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the day
