Our Brands Responsibilities: The Family Development Specialist supports clients and families by developing and implementing treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and linking them to necessary services. This role involves effective communication, compliance with regulatory standards, thorough documentation, and active recruitment of new referrals. Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care for clients and families with the input of the treatment team and the Clinical Supervisor. Provide individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions, as well as skill-building, outlined in the Treatment Plan. Attend and actively participate in weekly Treatment Team meetings. Link clients and families with specific services and resources as identified in the treatment plan. Serve as a liaison with other professionals, agencies, and community resources related to the client, ensuring their needs are met in a comprehensive manner. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with organizational policy and regulatory standards. Actively recruit new referrals to maintain a full caseload. Provide 24/7 on-call support for clients as required by the program. Ensure compliance with all state regulatory bodies and COA standards. Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities as assigned, to stay current with best practices for quality service delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline such as Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related field, is required. Minimum of two years experience working with children and/or families. This experience may include internships and volunteer work. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership & Administration * Provide vision, leadership, and strategic planning for college admissions and student services programs, ensuring alignment with the College's mission and the needs of the institution * Supervise, evaluate, and/or support personnel in the following offices: Admissions, Financial Aid, Center for College Success, College and Career Planning Center, Advising; Registrar; Dual Enrollment; and Reverse Transfer * Supervise the maintenance and security of student files, transcripts, and test scores * Oversee student, parent, and scholarship orientation programs to ensure that all necessary information is dispensed to the appropriate audiences * Serve as the Banner Student Functional Lead * Serve as the College Registrar, overseeing all functions of the Registrar's Office, including, but not limited to, submissions to the National Student Clearinghouse, student record maintenance, report preparation, security of student and employee records, evaluation of transcripts, performance of software processes for beginning and end of term, and maintaining degree program software * Oversee the student placement testing program * Oversee advising and other processes in the Office of the Director of Advising as well as the College and Career Planning Center * Oversee financial aid programs * Oversee the Center for College Success, including tutoring and developmental programs * Chair the Scholarship Committee and supervise the scholarship process * Serve as supervisor for all student organizations, clubs, and activities * Oversee the dual enrollment program, working closely with area high schools to ensure continued, successful relationships with high school administrators and superb services to dual enrollment students * Supervise the college call campaign initiatives and TargetX programs for students * Oversee implementation of and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act * Oversee the evaluation of transfer-in credit, advanced placement credit, and non-traditional credit policies * Oversee the enforcement of Family Educational Rights and Privacy (FERPA) guidelines Institutional and Student Support * Assist in finalizing the college calendar by scheduling online registration, early registration, and orientations * Serve as the liaison concerning student disciplinary procedures according to institutional procedures * Serve on the Title IX Team as an Investigator * Serve as the Alabama Transfers/AGSC Articulation Officer * Serve as an international student advisor, including management of the SEVIS records according to the Department of Homeland Security Regulations * Coordinate the All USA/All Alabama Academic Program * Oversee the maintenance of DegreeWorks * Prepare and adhere to the annual budgets of student services * Submit annual unit goals for the Admissions Office and coordinate with departmental directors regarding their submission of unit goals to ensure adherence to the institutional mission and directive goals * Oversee compilation of documentation for Subpoenas * Serve on institutional committees as assigned * Actively participate in the Alabama Deans of Student Affairs Association (ADSAA) * Comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College * Perform other duties as assigned by the President KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Proficient use of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing using such software as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc. is required * Outstanding communication, presentational, and writing skills with proficiency in the English language is required * Ability to address institutional issues on evenings and weekends, if necessary, is required * Ability to present material in an understandable manner * Ability to communicate with students from a variety of backgrounds * Experience in assessment placement testing * Experience in supervising developmental studies activities * Experience in educational advisement of students * Experience in dual enrollment/accelerated student programs * Knowledge of Alabama Community College System Policy pertaining to Financial Aid, Admissions, and Student Rights and Responsibilities * Understanding of and commitment to the community college mission EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE: * Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution required * Managerial experience, including supervision and evaluation of staff is required * Experience working in a higher education is preferred * Proficiency in the Banner ERP software is preferred Application Procedures/Additional Information: IMPORTANT!!! - Read all of the following information very carefully before you submit an application.
