Lead small weekly classes, drop-in groups and 1:1 instruction for students aged 10-18 in a youth-development program. Help youth express themselves through music and movement.
Lesson plans and teaching support are provided by an on-site supervisor who is usually a Berklee alum. These sites' full time Music Clubhouses are aimed at introducing kids to music, production and performance by providing basic lessons, studio time, rehearsals, theory, and mentorship to youth in the Boston area.
Requirements: Two semester minimum commitment. Availability at least 2-3 weekday afternoons/early evenings a week. Commute off-campus to job site. Passion for performing arts and community involvement is a MUST.
Desired: Previous experience working with urban youth and experience in various genres including r/b, jazz, pop, Latin, and World Music. Ability to teach basic music theory concepts to youth.

What are the responsibilities of a Beginning Teacher Mentor?

The Early Childhood Education Mentor/Coach is responsible for promoting the mission of ABCD Head Start & Children's Services; building an understanding of the program by communicating this mission to staff, families and the community.
This position must comply with all federal, state and local laws, regulations, standards and policies, including those of the federal Administration for Children and Families (ACF), the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Massachusetts disability law (Chapter 766), Boston Family Engagement Network (BFEN) and ABCD, Inc. Essential Functions & Responsibilities

As a TM, you will work with the youth individually at home, school or in the community and provide support around skills-building. Examples include helping children and adolescents develop improved relationships, social skills, or age-appropriate transition to adulthood.
Compassionately and actively listen to both the child and family/caregivers. The treatment goals developed in partnership with family/caregivers and clients allow their voices to be respected and honored. The Clinical Therapeutic Treatment teams must utilize strengths-based and culturally competent approaches.
Maintain minimum weekly communication with the Clinical Therapeutic Treatment team, other providers, and collateral supports (for example, adjustment counselors, coaches, etc.) to ensure the family receives the highest level of care.
Assist families in identifying and utilizing community resources and natural supports.
Maintain accurate Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and follow clinical documentation timelines, confidentially, and ethical practices.
Participate in treatment team meetings as needed and, as appropriate, assist the youth in communicating their needs to the treatment team in Care Plan and school meetings.
Participate Actively in weekly supervision, clinical team meetings, and mandated training.

Are you looking for a meaningful, flexible on-campus job? Become a Peer Mentor for the Program for Inclusive Education (PIE) at Fitchburg State! This program supports college-aged students with autism in experiencing collegiate life, gaining independence, and navigating their academic journey.
As a mentor, you'll support your matched student in experiencing college life through everyday activities like grabbing lunch in the dining hall, studying in the library, attending campus events, or just hanging out in the dorms. You'll help them navigate the transition to college independence and can also join optional group activities with other mentors and students. Additional paid opportunities are available, such as assisting with field trips and workshops like resume-building sessions.
This is a great chance to gain valuable mentorship experience, strengthen your leadership and communication skills, and make a meaningful impact?all with a flexible schedule that works with your student life. We'll provide all the training and support you need to feel confident in your role.
Requirements:
Start Date: October 6, 2025 (virtual training and onboarding before the semester begins)
Hours: 1-10 hours per week (flexible and negotiable)
Commitment: Peer Mentors are matched 1:1 with a student based on shared interests.
Additional Information:
Shift Information: This is a student-only posting, and you must have Federal Workstudy money allocated to you in your financial aid package. Shift will vary based on student schedules, and the pay is $17 per hour.

What We're Looking For:
Lived Experience: A personal history of recovery and a deep commitment to the peer support movement.
Certification: Must be a Certified Peer Specialist, Recovery Coach, or Young Adult Peer Mentor.
Compassionate Communicator: Strong listening skills and the ability to connect with diverse backgrounds.
Resourceful Advocate: Knowledge of mental health systems and community resources in Southeastern MA.
Reliable & Independent: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (travel required).
Bonus: Fluency in languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole.
