Day 1: Observation
Days 2-11: Student must drive at least 5 hours per day
14-hour clock: After your student drives 5 hours, you can run the rest of the clock and stack more miles
Recommended rest: Take a week off or run solo between students

SUMMARY: The Peer Mentor provides direct outreach and pre-screening to potential individuals interested in enrolling in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program. Qualified candidate must possess a clear understanding of the service delivery system and the resources available for veterans and their families. Individual will provide peer support, mentoring, and coaching to SSVF program participants to help them access and navigate community and veteran resources. This individual will also serve as a quality assurance representative to veteran households accessing SSVF funds and participate as a member of the strengths-based Case Management team.

Outreach
* Identify locations frequented by potential veteran applicants (including veteran family members)
* Provide direct outreach to veterans and their families in their naturally occurring environments (i.e. home visits and community visits)
* Engage and build rapport with target population
* Provide identification of and pre-screening for eligibility of potential applicants
* Coordinate initial screening and assessment with Case Management team
* Participate in Stand Downs and other VA/community outreach activities
* Provide client access to services and community resources as needed
Support
* Provide peer support, mentoring, and coaching to SSVF participants through assistance in navigating and accessing veteran and mainstream resources
* Accompany veterans to appointments, when appropriate
* Provide peer support and mentoring in securing permanent housing
* Facilitate discussion and training in peer groups, as determined by the Case Management team
* Monitor and document participation, progress, referrals, and services provided to participant
* Assist Case Management team in preparing discharge plans and follow-up contact with SSVF program participants
* Complete paperwork and data reports as requested by the Program Team including use of HMIS
Networking
* Attend agency, community, and supervisory meetings, as needed
* Maintain working relationships with community agencies to provide comprehensive services to participants
* Maintain working relationships with veteran serving organizations
* Attend in-service trainings and outside conferences/workshops, as requested by the Program Manager

. The Department of Counseling invites applications for Part-Time Instructors for Spring 2026 or Summer 2026. Part-Time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach Counseling courses.
The successful candidate is expected to teach introductory and advanced level courses by the Department of Counseling. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teach face-to-face and/or online, attend training and/or review sessions. Additional duties will include, but are not limited to, academic advising of students, supporting student organizations, participating in program development and assessment. The candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.

The Department of Counseling is designed to prepare motivated students to work in counseling or counseling related roles in a variety of employment settings. In addition, the Counseling faculty are experienced, established members of the counseling community and are active in many educational, professional, and community leadership roles.

Minimum Requirements
An earned doctoral degree in Counselor Education & Supervision, or closely related field from a CACREP accredited institution.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Minimum 1-3 years teaching experience at the University or Community College level.
Required License or Certification Is this position eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies.
