BASIC ASSIGNMENT:
The Site Mentor will be responsible for both the operational compliance and program quality of 3 ASAS-LA sites. These sites will be part of a larger region of programs. The Site Mentor will report directly to his/her Program Director ensuring the implementation of mission-based programming that educates, enlightens and inspires students in grades K-12.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
To promote program quality and staff excellence in assigned schools within the organization through everyday coaching, mentoring and periodic assessments.
Responsible for facilitating the development and maintenance of program goals and objectives of their assigned schools through a series of consistent personnel meetings, chapter meetings, monthly site observations and periodic reviews of program sessions and semesters.
Establish organizational awareness at their respective sites, informing and educating field staff on opportunities, challenges and events affecting ASAS-LA as a whole.
Maintain positive and open communication with school administration and faculty.
Manage individual site budgets, maintain revenue through high student attendance (ADA), identify in-kind opportunities to control costs, manage and track program inventory, as well as review and approve payroll and other HR documentation.
Work directly with Program Specialists in maintaining student participation (dosage) and attendance (ADA) throughout the year via recruitment and retention activities, including student "voice and choice" strategies.
Promote staff excellence through professional development opportunities, periodic assessments and renewed leadership strategies.
Ensure operating compliance and approved business practices with state, city and local school district policies and procedures regarding human resources, discipline procedures, safety protocols, program audits and reporting procedures.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

Mentor Description:
With Camden Case Management, the mentor is the client's primary source of support. Mentors take the lead in many aspects of client care, including daily communication, observation, and reporting. The client will spend the vast majority of face-to-face hours with their respective mentor in the client's life. The entire Camden Case Management team depends on the mentor for in-depth and timely updates. Within the chain of command, the mentor, who knows the client implicitly, will report to the case manager, their direct supervisor.
Mentor Primary Responsibilities:
Have face-to-face weekly sessions with client wherever the client needs support
Monitor clients to ensure safety and support
Conduct home visits
Assist client in medication counts and adherence
Conduct random toxicology screens (via urine samples)

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.

The Seven Challenges treatment model is used with those young people in Juvenile Hall who are identified as needing on-going substance abuse treatment services.
The Peer Mentor is employed by Asian American Recovery Services (AARS) a program of HealthRIGHT 360 to deliver and coordinate services for youth clients referred by the Santa Clara County Department of Behavioral Health Services (BHSD) Substance Use Treatment Services Division. AARS is looking for committed, client-centered, full-time Peer Mentors who are passionate about serving clients in an outpatient substance use disorder treatment program. Hours of operation are Mondays and Fridays from 9:00AM to 6:00pm; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00AM to 8:00PM.
The Peer Mentor will be an individual whose lived experience resembles the target population - ex-offenders, substance use history, etc. The Peer Mentor will act as liaison to clients, help find community resources, and support organizing pro-social recreational activities and monthly family nights. Youth Frontiers is a youth mentoring program for female children and young people, aged 10-17 years in contact with the criminal justice and child protection systems in the Fairfield LGA. The program aims to engage young people's strengths by building skills and experience through mentoring support. This program supports children and young women who have had some contact with the justice system and or their family have been involved in the justice system and they need support.
The Youth Frontier's program delivers quality mentoring including supporting children to meet their case plan goals, connections with peers, support with education, support with attending appointments or connecting with other service providers, development of life skills, building confidence and resilience and connections with family, community and culture. The Mentors will develop and maintain quality and meaningful relationships with mentees for up to 12 months. This relationship will involve weekly one-on-one or group mentoring sessions with mentees, along with engaging mentees in group activities organised and/or run by the Program Coordinators.

Support mentees in developing practical and personal life skills in line with their goals.
Establish and maintain appropriate boundaries in line with policies and procedures.
Assess safety and well-being of mentees during engagement and report all concerns to the Program Coordinator.
Working with coordinator to support program needs.
Monitor and record client progress (e.g. client participation, client intake survey, case notes).
Skills And Experiences
Applicants need to be 18 years or above, have a current driver's license, have a current working with children's check and can commit to working with these vulnerable children for a minimum of six months. Applicant must have proof of COVID 19 vaccinations and will be required to have a police check.

General Summary:
A Eureka College Peer Mentor provides one-on-one mentoring sessions that support the mentees' goals. Mentees are first-year students who are either the first in their family to attend college and/or historically underrepresented. The Peer Mentor is responsible for providing mentorship to 4-5 mentees for the entire academic year through weekly interactions. The Peer Mentor will participate in training prior to being assigned a mentee roster and will attend 3 campus activities throughout the semester. A peer mentor should be passionate about helping others succeed, eager to develop their leadership, dedicated to serving diverse student groups, have an open mind and flexibility.
Position Responsibilities:
Serve as an advocate, coach and role model for mentees
Partner with mentees to support action plans completed through college resources
Initiate contact with mentees each week
Utilize tools from the Peer Mentor training to mentoring relationship
Email or text roster of mentees a list of activities that are occurring on campus each week
Document all interactions with mentees through electronic case note form on a weekly basis
Attend bi-weekly Peer Mentor staff meetings

SUMMARY:
The Youth Mentor will join a team of service-oriented staff at Boys & Girls Club of Big Valley Rancheria. This is a position that is responsible for coordinating programs. Youth Mentor sets standards of program delivery that assures the highest quality programs. Responsibilities include supervision, management and development of major program areas in education, fitness, health and nutrition for the youth. Youth Mentor will work primarily with our teens and help ensure they are achieving their educational and personal goals. Youth Mentor assists with promotional activities and events, as well as other duties that may be required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops, manages, and provides oversight to comprehensive programs and activities for youth by creating new programs to help enhance the Boys & Girls Club.
Works with Boys and Girls Club Director to create an environment conducive to promoting education, physical fitness, good nutrition and overall wellness of the Tribal community.
Assess the health/wellness needs and interest of the community and prepares and submits proposal for programs and special events.
Integrate healthy lifestyle practices into the Club culture including promoting physical activities by conducting a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity per day, five days a week for all Club members and encouraging healthy eating habits
Develop positive relationships with Club members.
Facilitate discussion groups with Club members, parents, and other community members.
At all times, act as a role model for youth and other staff, including modeling healthy lifestyle behavior.
Follow discipline procedures established by the Club to keep Club members safe and positive.
Maintain the Club facility and enforce all policies.
Assist supervising youth group during all field trips.
At all times, ensure Club is clean, safe, and fun.
Maintain positive and professional relationships with supervisor, co-workers, and administration.

Assist with Recreation Center events.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Experience in supervising employees, preferred
1-3 years' experience in service-program administration and working with youth.
Must have experience in supervising employees.
Experience in developing programs for individuals, groups and teams.
Working knowledge of the design, planning and implantation of health and wellness programs, events and classes.
Ability to plan, evaluate and prioritize work assignments to ensure accurate and timely implementation and completion.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with clear sense of ownership and priority.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Proven leadership skills.
CPR certification.
Ability and willingness to work evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Attend and work special Club events and fundraisers.
Other Requirements:
Must be eligible for coverage under the Tribe's vehicle insurance policy.
Must possess a valid California driver's license, Class B preferred. Must be willing to travel locally, regionally, statewide, and/or out-of-state, as necessary, during or after regular working hours.
