The Youth Cinema Project (YCP) is a project-based learning program that teaches film to youth in public schools during regular school and/or after school/summer school. YCP Mentors are professional filmmakers that teach 90-minute film classes, twice a week to students in 5th - 12th grades. In collaboration with a co-mentor, YCP Mentors implement our rigorous filmmaking curriculum and guide students through the filmmaking process to produce high-quality short film content over the course of the school year (August - June). YCP Mentors can expect to work 7-14 hours a week.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates MUST have a minimum of 3 years working in the film industry as a producer, director or in any below-the-line position.
Candidates MUST have expertise in at least one specific area of filmmaking.
Candidates MUST have editing experience - not to a professional editors level but enough to edit simple short content.
Candidates MUST be comfortable using Google Suite
Travel (up to 50 miles) may be required. Mileage is reimbursed.
Candidates MUST have a Bachelors in film.
Candidates MUST be comfortable in a school environment teaching children.
Collaborate with other mentors and staff to create a positive and inclusive environment
Help youth develop life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and decision-making
Provide emotional support and encouragement to youth facing challenges

Duties:
Teach a year-long film program in the classroom during regular school
Attend all YCP trainings and professional development meetings (monthly)
Thoroughly prepare before each class with co-mentor utilizing provided curriculum
Complete, compile and submit program materials and program data in a timely manner
Responsible for all class deliverables (finished scripts, films, etc.)
Commitment to the mission statement and philosophy of the program
Adhere to Mentor Handbook guidelines
Build and maintain positive rapport with students, school personnel, and colleagues
Maintain timely communication with YCP administration and school personnel
Conduct inventory of classroom film equipment as required
Pre-Employment Bootcamp:
Mandatory for all candidates: Before any role is offered, all candidates must participate in a bootcamp training program.
Pass/Fail Assessment: The bootcamp has a strict pass/fail evaluation.
Assessment Criteria:
Teaching Structure Understanding: Trainees are assessed on their comprehension of the designated teaching methods and frameworks.
Overall Mannerism: Their professional demeanor, communication skills, and overall suitability for an instructional role are evaluated.
Trainee Pay: During the bootcamp, all trainees receive an hourly wage of $17.28.
Mentor Pay: Upon successful completion of the bootcamp and subsequent promotion to the role of "Mentor," the hourly pay increases to $31.80.
Role Offer: Successful bootcamp graduates are offered a position as "Mentors."
Class Assignment: Along with the Mentor role, successful trainees are assigned to teach specific classes.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Each Professional Mentor develops intensive, long-term, trusting relationships with eight youth
utilizing a trauma informed lens in a classroom setting and in the community. As a Professional
Mentor, you will:
• Set positive expectations

• Help assure physical and emotional well-being
• Teach life and academic skills
• Support youth and their families, and connect them to other services and resources

• Spend approximately four hours per week with each child (in the classroom and in the

With Camden Case Management, the mentor is the client's primary source of support. Mentors take the lead in many aspects of client care, including daily communication, observation, and reporting. The client will spend the vast majority of face-to-face hours with their respective mentor in the client's life. The entire Camden Case Management team depends on the mentor for in-depth and timely updates. Within the chain of command, the mentor, who knows the client implicitly, will report to the case manager, their direct supervisor.

The Mayor's Youth Employment and Education Program (MYEEP) is a citywide collaboration of ten non-profit organizations in San Francisco and provides paid work experience to over 1,000 San Francisco high school youth annually. The Academic Mentor Program, now in its sixth year, provides participants with academic enrichment. Each MYEEP location has a dedicated Academic Mentor who facilitates skill-based workshops, monitors academic success, and provides tutoring.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The MYEEP Academic Mentor will be responsible for facilitating workshops for program participants. Mentors are expected to also engage in group tutoring sessions as well as provide high quality one on one academic support for program participants. This is a part-time, average 19 hours a week, (3-4 days) in-person position from September to May. During the Fall semester students will engage in the Academic Mentor Program as well as job readiness training while they attend school. During the Spring semester, the academic mentor will provide individual or small-group tutorial support and personalized academic Workshops. The Academic Mentor reports directly to the Academic Mentor Program Coordinator and works closely with their MYEEP coordinator and their CIT.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
TRAINING, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Meet Highly Qualified requirement of No Child Left Behind: A high school diploma, or equivalent AND a) an Associate of Arts degree or higher, or b) 48 or more college units, or 3) a passing score on a test (CBEST, ParaPro or CODESP)
Employment eligibility will include being fingerprinted, passing a Tuberculosis test and/or other employment clearance requirements.

Under supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Youth Mentor (as needed) will provide coverage and facilitate a wide range of creative activities for students within the Afterschool Program. This position will be responsible for coordinating and leading organized sports and enrichment activities during morning/lunch time recess and Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELOP) program hours. The objective of the program is to provide structure and create a fun learning environment where students can expand their interest and build interpersonal skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Readily available to provide coverage at all 13 elementary sites within the after school program
Create educational and recreational lesson plans to instruct students from grade levels K-8

Provide supervision to all students at any worksite assigned to.
Adhere to District and school site policies/procedures to ensure a safe environment for students
Assume responsibility for the safety of students indoors and outdoors
Prepare written accident reports as necessary
Follow Mandated Reporter protocols based on training when necessary
Participate in relevant trainings and collaborative meetings as required
Respond to children's needs, emergencies, and mediate conflicts that may occur during activities
Instruct students in the rules and mechanics of sports, games, and teamwork
Lead hands on enrichment activities with students in the ELOP/afterschool program
Redirect students in a positive manner and provide mentoring support on a daily basis
Actively participate in learning activities and provide tutoring based on student needs
Provide all students necessary equipment and provide instruction on use of materials for safety purposes
Work alongside and collaborate with youth mentors and other specialty staff
Assist other Youth Mentors with coverage during site assignment as needed
Keep accurate information regarding student attendance and progress during activities
Relay any information to Lead Youth Mentors and Program Coordinator regarding program updates
Maintain a professional relationship with all students, parents and school personnel

Position Overview
The individual leads and coordinates the school's efforts to ensure that all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally and ensures high-quality, research-based learning support across divisions. Role and Responsibilities
Collaboration & Strategy
Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for student support services aligned with the school's mission and values.
Coordinate direct support and interventions in-school and externally in collaboration with faculty, families, and caregivers
Partner with the Pedagogical Leadership Team to integrate student support practices into curriculum and pedagogy.

Purpose of the role
Youth Frontiers is a youth mentoring program for female children and young people, aged 10-17 years in contact with the criminal justice and child protection systems in the Fairfield LGA. The program aims to engage young people's strengths by building skills and experience through mentoring support. This program supports children and young women who have had some contact with the justice system and or their family have been involved in the justice system and they need support.
The Youth Frontier's program delivers quality mentoring including supporting children to meet their case plan goals, connections with peers, support with education, support with attending appointments or connecting with other service providers, development of life skills, building confidence and resilience and connections with family, community and culture. The Mentors will develop and maintain quality and meaningful relationships with mentees for up to 12 months. This relationship will involve weekly one-on-one or group mentoring sessions with mentees, along with engaging mentees in group activities organised and/or run by the Program Coordinators.

All training shall be completed prior to placing a child in a certified family home for which the support counselor is assigned responsibility. An additional 20 hours of ongoing in-service training is required within the first 12 months after becoming an ISFC Support Counselor
