Position Details
Conduct intake assessments and clinical evaluations of potential residents.
Lead the development of treatment plans with individual receiving services. Update treatment plans in collaboration with the individual, Psychiatrist and other members of treatment team at a minimum of every 30 days for each assigned individual.
Provide a minimum number of required hours of individual psychotherapy weekly assigned by the program director.
Oversee and/or provide group psychotherapy sessions ensuring clinical integrity and the use of evidence-based practices.
Transport and monitor residents in the community when clinically or medically appropriate with Director approval.
Provide effective supervision, mentoring and training to LTSR staff.
Available for intermittent on call responsibility as assigned.
Submit all documentation in a timely fashion.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Holt International finds and supports permanent, loving families for children who are orphaned, abandoned or at serious risk of separation from their family. The master's level socialworker represents Holt in their community and ensures the successful adjustment of child and family by conducting an assessment of the family and providing appropriate services throughout the adoption process. The master's level socialworker works cooperatively with families, the Social Service and Adoption Teams headquartered in Eugene, Oregon. Note: The Adoption SocialWorker is primarily a home-based position. The Adoption SocialWorker position requires travel (most often by car) to different locations within the assigned area to complete the essential functions of the position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (to be completed within timeframes outlined by the Social Service Director):
1. Determines a family's ability and capacity to parent an adopted child by conducting pre-home study meetings as requested, reviewing and assessing agency-requested information, evaluating the family's knowledge and perceptions of adoption, teaching adoption education courses as needed, and conducting psycho-social assessments of family members.
2. Contributes to the delivery of high-quality adoption services by producing adoption home studies and post placement reports that comply with provided guidelines and meet current agency, state, country and USCIS requirements.
3. Provides support and case management of all assigned families by maintaining quarterly contacts throughout process, communicating information to the family, referring family to appropriate community support systems when necessary and documenting all correspondence in Holt's database.
4. Prepares family for travel and assists with post placement adjustment by providing training and identifying resources available to help meet the child's needs and aid in the child's adjustment to the family. Conduct home visits as required by state law and country program guidelines, assist in early identification of problematic issues, and make a determination regarding the stability and appropriateness of the placement.
5. Assures child's physical and emotional well-being and eases family's adjustment by providing counseling to the child and family and/or helping arrange for counseling with a clinician outside the agency if needed. In case of an adoption disruption or dissolution, maintain relationship with family to ensure transition plan is developed that meets the child's needs. Assist child and family with transition of child to new placement.
6. Contributes to public knowledge about Holt and supports Holt programs by participating in activities arranged by Holt including picnics or parent groups, representing Holt at adoption meetings, coalitions and organizations, and performing other outreach activities as appropriate.
7. Maintains professional knowledge by attending relevant seminars and course work, keeping informed about State regulations, legislation, adoption issues and child-related issues overseas; maintaining license, if required.
8. Contributes to a positive, productive work environment by meeting attendance and punctuality guidelines and pre-arranging time off with appropriate notice; treating all people with dignity and respect; and exhibiting good listening and comprehension skills including giving and welcoming feedback.
9. Contributes to team effort by working cooperatively with State and Eugene offices, respectfully responding to all communication from State and Eugene in a timely manner. Providing back-up to colleagues as needed and supporting state offices in meeting objectives.

KNOWLEDGE: Master's degree in social work or a related field strongly preferred, five years experience in a social service setting, and state license (where applicable). Ohel Children's Home and Family Services is seeking a compassionate and highly qualified SocialWorker to join our Geriatric Services Department. In this role, you will provide essential one-on-one counseling to Holocaust survivors and their children who serve as caregivers to their elderly parents.
Responsibilities:
Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with Holocaust survivors and their children caregivers
Assist clients in processing and unpacking vicarious trauma from their early childhood experiences
Participate in co-facilitating online support groups for second-generation caregivers (2g) to navigate the complexities of caregiving for elderly parents
Utilize a trauma-focused, mindfulness-based, psychodynamic, positive psychology-informed, and strengths-based approach in therapy
Demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique backgrounds and experiences of our clients
Collaborate with clients to address issues related to geriatric care, Alzheimer's, dementia, and the impact on parent-child caregiver relationships
Requirements:
MSW or LMSW with experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Be comfortable working through telehealth platforms and completing in-home visits to geriatric clients
Fluent in Russian and possess a mindfulness-based understanding background (preferred)
Trauma-informed counseling background
Cultural competency and sensitivity to clients' backgrounds
Knowledge of geriatric care, Alzheimer's, and dementia

SocialWorker - Bi-Lingual Program/Department: Preventative Family Services Reports to: Program Director Hours: Full Time - Monday - Friday Annual Rate of Pay $63,000 - $63,000 In our Preventive Services program, SocialWorkers provide a range of supportive services to families who have been identified by the child welfare system as being at-risk for child abuse and/or neglect. SocialWorkers assist parents/caregivers address barriers to their childrens health, safety, and well-being, so that families can stabilize, strengthen, and reduce the need for future involvement with the child welfare system. The SocialWorkers primary responsibilities are to make safety-focused assessments of child and family functioning, develop intervention plans, and help caretakers take charge of their respective situations and avoid future child maltreatment.
Responsibilities:
* Provide in-home/ virtual/community-based supportive services to a caseload of 12 families, weekly. Services include family therapy, client advocacy, parent coaching, service coordination, and case management
* Make safety and risk assessments regarding childrens health, safety, and/or well-being and develops safety and intervention plans accordingly
* Participate in all family court hearings and family team conferences
* Provide written court reports and collaborate with Family Service Unit (FSU) and Family Court
* Legal Services (FCLS) to prepare for all family court hearings
* Collaborate with ACS (and other referral sources) to successfully engage families and transition them into specialized services, as needed
* Make at least monthly home visits to assess the safety of the home environment
* Provide advocacy and coaching to clients (off-site) to address any barriers to accessing any services needed by family members
* Document all casework activity into city and state reporting systems (i.e. PROMIS, CONNECTIONS), maintaining compliance with all mandates set by the child welfare system, as well as program protocols and procedures
* Actively participates in individual and group supervision, staff trainings, and unit meetings. This includes participating in consultations (of live or taped sessions) and receiving and giving direct feedback from/to peers and supervisory staff on a regular basis
* Engage in all activities required by the programs model development process and delivers services as described by the current version of the model
* Collaborate with ACS and other service providers (as needed) to address barriers or challenges related to assessment, service coordination or planning, and/or crisis intervention
* Attend ACS conferences; intervenes and offers advocacy to families, as needed
* Other tasks as may be required
Qualifications Required:
* Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy required;
* Fluent in Spanish
* Basic computer literacy;
* Strong time management and organizational skills;
* Previous work experience in a helping role with children, teens, parents, or families;
* Willingness and ability to do field work , including home visits in the community;
* Strong interest in learning Structural Family Therapy and working from a systemically- oriented perspective; willingness to participate in training and supervision methods that include live and taped observation (i.e. give and take constructive feedback) on a regular basis;

Responsibilities:
Asses young people (through our Drop-In-Services, Member Services, and Counseling Department) who are in crisis to provide support, information, and referrals.
Perform CS mandated reporting duties as needed.
Provide suicide/homicidal assessments and appropriate follow-up with young people in collaboration with Supervisor.
Meet with Door members who are experiencing serious mental illness and coordinate a treatment plan with them.
Provide short-term counseling for Runaway and Homeless youth.
Follow-up on referrals to Door case management, Care Coordination, and/or counseling services.
Document all crisis and clinical work including any safety plans and referrals.
Provide supportive groupwork for Runaway and Homeless Youth around transitioning into independent living and/or managing mental illness symptoms.
Develop linkages with outside organizations and maintain accurate and detailed up-to-date referral resources within the five boroughs.
Participate in program and departmental meetings.
Provide oversight of the drop-in space and provision of basic needs services.

Qualifications:
LMSW/LCSW/LMFC/LMHC required.
Master's degree in related field with two years relevant professional experience.
