What you'll do:

+ Maximize the company growth and profitability through the processing and handling of all Crate and Barrel orders.

+ Responsibilities could include loading/unloading, picking, putaway, replenishment and wrapping of merchandise as well as the use of hand operated equipment.

+ Perform all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve daily productivity.

+ Rotate through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business.

+ Follow the loss prevention and security guidelines to minimize inventory shrinkage and profit loss.

Job Overview:

The Merchandise Handler performs a variety of distribution activities to receive, sort, store, distribute and manage the flow of product in a warehouse environment.
Scheduled Days & Hours:

Monday 12:00 a.m. - 8 a.m.

Tuesday 12:00 a.m. - 9 a.m.

Wednesday 12:00 a.m. - 9 a.m.

Thursday 12:00 a.m. - 8 a.m.

Friday 12:00 a.m. - 6 a.m.

Starting Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour plus $.70 shift premium

Benefits Include: Medical, Prescription Drug Plan, Dental, Vision, 401k, Paid Vacation and Holidays and Weekly Pay

* Effective 6/21/ 2022 all candidates that apply and are hired will be eligible for a $500 Sign-on Bonus payable after 60 days of employment *
* Our facility has a Step Progression Plan. After 6 months, the hourly rate will increase to $17.00. After 12 months, the hourly rate will increase to $17.60 and to $20.55 after 24 months.*

Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).

1. Unloads merchandise from trailers, lifting cartons and product checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices.

2. Stacks and loads cartons and other containers for outbound shipment; stocks shelves with goods received.

3. Maintains and verifies records of goods received or shipped to facilitate the flow of merchandise through the distribution center.

4. May operate power equipment to move merchandise; utilizes small hand tools, pallet handlers and hand trucks

5. Select and pick product for shipment from paper or computerized store order requests, matching inventory to order numbers.

6. Prepares merchandise for shipping using shrink wrap machine or other devices.

7. NOTE: % of time worked at each task varies, as needed

Education & Experience

* GED, High School Diploma, or equivalent work experience.
* 0-1 years of experience, preferably in Distribution, Warehouse, Supply Chain, or similar industry.
* Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
