Job Description The produce store merchandiser works directly with our retail customers and responsible for the produce merchandising at assigned stores. This role is designed to maximize produce product rotation and customer service through effective planning, relationship-building, and in-store servicing. A major objective of this role is to establish and maintain rapport with key store individuals while providing outstanding customer service. Jobsite locations: Greater Los Angeles area. Work will be performed in retail grocery stores located in a combination of West Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach and Long Beach, varied on customer needs. The produce merchandiser will commute to the scheduled stores on a daily basis and sometimes to other locations as needed. Core responsibilities: Cultivate Partnerships: Visit an assigned itinerary of retail stores to support and build relationships with produce managers, receivers, and department leads. Quality Assurance: Rotate product and ensure displays meet quality standards. Customer Support: Conduct weekly store price audits and assess customer needs. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal staff to resolve store-level issues. Brand Representation: Professionally represent the company in all interactions with customers and team members. Schedule Flexibility: Work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, and some weekends depending on customer needs. Qualifications Desired Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years produce merchandising experience. Valid CA DL - able to meet company insurance guidelines. Travel up to 95%- company vehicle- maintain car cleanliness. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs frequently. Ability to work without direct supervision and to prioritize activities under pressure. Able to work on your feet for 8+ hours. Ability to adhere to all food and safety protocols and procedures.
