Various Locations: Fort Belvoir, VA; Fort Bragg, NC; Lexington, KY; Fort Eustis, VA; Natick, MA * This position is contingent upon a contract award* Essential Duties: * Assist the SGM and Deputy for TT as the EW SME working in collaboration with government partners, academic laboratories, and private industry - to develop new tools and technology in support of the SOF explosive and mechanical breaching community. * Assist in the preparation and development of new requirements documentation to include Initial Capabilities Documents (ICD), Capabilities Development Documents (CDD), SPECAT messages, Basis of Issue Plans (BOIP), Test Plans, and update Project Folders. * Tasks include the identification and development of Radio Detection and Ranging (RADAR) and Electronic Counter Measures (ECM), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) for further development or fielding in support of SOF. Required Qualifications: * Qualifications include a background in EW, RADAR, ECM, ISR, EW, and SIGINT operations (particularly SOF) with a knowledge of EW techniques, tactics, & procedures. * 12+ years of relevant experience * Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills. * Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle and rapid prototyping processes. * Prior experience supporting USSOCOM, SOF AT&L, or other SOF components. The Electronics Technician, Maintenance maintains repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids); personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices. The successful incumbent applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
