Yingling has served as a critical care nurse, director of nursing staff development and assistant chief nursing officer at Mercy Medical Center. She formerly served as a sophomore and senior level adjunct faculty at Malone College. Prior to her time at Mercy Medical Center, Yingling worked at Doctors Hospital and Massillon Community Hospital.

Yingling received her diploma of nursing at Massillon Community Hospital in 1983, where she served as class president for two years. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Walsh College in 1992 and received her Master of Arts in Education and Management at Walsh University in 1996.

In 2007 she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, PI CHI Chapter. Yingling is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Stark County. She is an active volunteer at St. Philip and James Catholic Church in Canal Fulton, where she also teaches fifth grade CCD classes

David K. Stewart

In 1997, Stewart became a senior financial analyst for Columbia-HCA, Ohio Division in Cleveland. Stewart has also since served as vice president of finance and CFO for St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland and St. John Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio, and most recently, senior vice president and CFO for Providence Hospitals in Columbia, South Carolina.

Mr. Stewart holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University (OH) and master’s degrees in business administration and accountancy from the University of Phoenix. Stewart is a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Since arriving in Canton, he serves on the board of Directors of Stark County Hunger Task Force, ArtsinStark, Ohio Health Choice and SCHS Insurance Company. He also serves on the finance committee of the Ohio Hospital Association. He is an active volunteer in the community including coaching youth basketball and baseball.

David L. Gormsen, D.O., F.A.C.E.P., has served as Vice President & Chief Medical Officer of Mercy Medical Center since 2001. Dr. Gormsen is a graduate of Defiance College and received his medical degree from Chicago of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Gormsen has been an Emergency Medicine Physician at Mercy Medical Center since 1986. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mercy and is Director of Mercy Statcare in North Canton. Dr. Gormsen in board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He has served as Assistant Clinical Professor at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine since 1989 and is Administrative Director of the Canton Medical Education Foundation. Dr. Gormsen was President of the Mercy Medical Staff from 1999 to 2000 and President-Elect of the Medical Staff from 1997 to 1998. He is Chairman of the Mercy Utilization Review Committee and is a member of the Medical Executive Committee. He is a member of the American College of Physician Executives.

Dr. Gormsen served in the United States Navy as an U.S. Naval Flight Surgeon. He was Co-Director of the United Way of Central Stark County Fund Drive in 1998. He has participated in the Annual Medical Mission to the Dominican Republic since 1998. Dr. Gormsen serves as a Board member of The Arc (Association for Retarded Citizens) of Stark County and Families First of Stark County.
