The Opportunity: The Planner II position analyzes, plans, schedules, and releases the weekly production requirements for a designated group of customers/manufacturing lines that deliver against forecasted requirements while minimizing cost and achieves inventory objectives. Works cross functionally to mitigate any supply challenges and ensure good communication up and down the supply chain. Comfort/proficiency in utilizing ERP systems (such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and ad hoc analysis will be critical to success in the role. Analytical approach required to ensure manufacturing and packaging operations are fully versed to the volume and schedule required. What You'll Do: Supports the monthly SIOP process by analyzing and modifying supply plans to meet updated customer demand requirements. Highlight supply concerns and provide mitigation recommendations. Attends key cross functional meetings to confirm up to date capacity, raw material, component, and data information is available. Monitor and adjust supply plans throughout the month. Ensure timely system updates for any deviations and communication to Sales/Customer Service accordingly. Work cross functionally to mitigate any supply challenges and ensure good communication up and down the supply chain. Plan and release optimized weekly production requirements to manufacturing which maximize efficiency and meet customer delivery requirements. Partner with Procurement/Quality to ensure good visibility to material requirements to meet the planned production schedule and development of solutions for any supply mitigation needs. Ensure new product/discontinuations and customer launches are planned appropriately. Supports the monitoring and visibility to Sales/Customer Service regarding any excess/obsolete inventory issues. Regularly review/update planning system parameters in ERP system. What You'll Bring: 3+ years Supply Chain Planning or related experience. Utilization of ERP systems supplemented by Strong Excel support. Ideally have Pharma, Nutra, or Food manufacturing experience. Work independently and self-motivated. The Opportunity: We are seeking a Granulation Operator to support various machinery for agglomeration and particle sizing of raw materials, ensuring proper process controls like temperature, airflow, and spray rates. Key tasks include verifying materials, following manufacturing instructions, and ensuring the final product meets specifications for tablets, capsules, or powder blends. The operator is responsible for adhering to cGMP standards, safety practices, and coordinating with Quality Control on batch sign-offs. Additional duties include weighing blends and using metal detection and milling equipment when required. What You'll Do: Ability to operate machinery as necessary for agglomeration and particle sizing of formulated of formulated raw materials as per each batch record manufacturing instructions. Operate and manage process controls, including inlet and outlet temperatures, air flow, dust collection (Magnehelic), solution preparation, spray rates, and spray nozzle calibration, for fluidized bed granulators. Handle accessory bowls and dump stations, ensuring proper setup and operation. Operate various blenders, including Hobart mixer, ribbon blender, twin shell blender, and Fitzmills, while adjusting speeds and screen sizes as needed. Manage roller compaction equipment, adjusting rollers and screen sizes to achieve desired particle sizes. Utilize oscillators for particle sizing, and apply manual granulation methods using trays, racks, and dryers as per batch specifications. Keep attention to particle sizing detail to ensure mfg. instructions are properly executed is required which contributes to the overall ability to compress tablets, fill capsules, or provide powder blends according to customer specifications. Verification of materials for each batch as per the batch record and sign off with a second person is required as materials are 'top loaded' into the mixers from staging area. Lifting of materials within OSHA limits is required. Sanitation, cGMP's, adherence to SOP's and safe work practices is always required. Requires coordination with Quality Control on batch record signoffs and anything that violates cGMP's. Must have ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions to property load raw materials (sequentially), close and seal Intel portholes and discharge valves, operate fluid bed and mixers for blending of raw materials and unload/discharge final product blends into sanitary containers. Must weigh final blends using floor scales for calculation of outgoing yield versus incoming theoretical yield. Maintain expertise on current safety issues through ongoing literature and attendance at relevant seminars and meetings. Work jointly and collaboratively with operations to improve operational efficiencies and improve health and safety costs. Assist with follow up on work restrictions. Organize required training in all departments to increase EH&S awareness and adherence specific to local state regulations. Coordinate and oversee contractors, who support the site's EHS programs (i.e. fire extinguisher inspections, safety supply inventory, etc.) Ensure contractors are properly trained in the BRF's safety policies and procedures before they begin any on-site projects. Represent the EHS department during new-employee orientations and deliver original, basic environmental and safety training. Act as the site's safety committee leader and implement Corporate EHS initiatives throughout the site level of the organization. Ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with all existing federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies and procedures, including but not limited to CalOSHA, CalEPA, Caltrans, USEPA, USDOT, and NFPA. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Bachelor's Degree in an Environmental Health and Safety or Sustainability Disciplines such as environmental science, industrial safety, industrial hygiene and at least five (5) years' EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. OSHA 30-hour Certification is required. Experience with hazard/exposure identification, auditing, and inspections; Administration of EHS training program requirements; OSHA, and regulatory submissions; record keeping requirements and action-item projects is required. The Quality Inspector works to guarantee high quality output through random sampling and testing on anything from receiving, in process manufacturing and finished packaging product for release. Items that do not meet specifications are investigated and written documented corrective actions taken to ensure the issue does not occur again. What You'll Do: Ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices [21 CFR Part 111,117 & 211) are adhered. Independently perform inspection across multiple production stages proficiently and ensure compliance with quality standards. Ability to follow instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the materials, components or products. Conducts sampling (Analytical, Microbial, Customer and Retains] and ensures testing against appropriate methods. Sampling must be conducted appropriately using good technique and verifying against dimensional and functional specifications. Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as quantity of defective products per batch. Collect samples for Analytical, Microbial, Customer and Retains as applicable and document within the appropriate quality record (batch record, specification, unipoint, etc.}. Communicate to next level leader prior to rejecting raw materials, in process manufacturing or finished product with respect to quality standards. Performs in process testing [such as allergen, ATP, Water Activity, Brix, Hardness, Thickness, Friability, etc.]. Provides guidance to manufacturing team on corrective actions for out-of-specification results. Verifies Bill of Materials [bulk & packaging components} and ensures proper 10 tagging and organization of raw materials, components, staged bulk and finished goods on the production floor including reconciliation and pallet counts. Ability to enter quality data & verify expiration dates into ERP system prior to Finished Goods release. Verifies batch record matches items staged within manufacturing and packaging lines. Verifies monitoring equipment [scales, metal detectors, torque meter etc.] is functioning correctly per our established SOPs. Conduct bulk and final product acceptable quality limit (AQL} inspections per established SOPs. Understands varying sampling schemes based on sample size and AQL parameters. Responsible for reviewing the cleaning Logs and provide verification authorization signature to release lines. Ensure proper hold procedures and communication or alert management of any unusual occurrence and any pertinent issues that affect raw materials, production and/or packaging. Inspects and maintains working environment routinely and ensures adherence to company safety policies and procedures. May be required to operate forklift, pallet jacks, etc. if needed. Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring: Must have 3+ experience working in a quality related environment. Should be able to lift a maximum of 25-30 lbs. of material when needed. Food Safety or Dietary Supplement Experience a plus. Education Requirements: High School Diploma/Certificate; one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
