The Opportunity: The Document Control Specialist is detail-orientated and computer proficient. The Document Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining and managing all controlled documents within the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with FDA regulations under 21 CFR Parts 111 (Dietary Supplements), 117 (Food Safety), and 210-211 (Drug GMPs). This individual will be a key member of Quality Assurance team leading change control operations, managing and maintaining controlled documents that support our cGMP quality operations. What You'll Do: Maintain and manage controlled documents including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CAPAs, deviation records, batch records, specifications, controlled forms, calibration certificates, training records, logbooks, and qualification records. Maintain a current master index of all controlled documents and ensure distribution lists are up to date. Process document change requests, revisions, approvals, and archival in accordance with internal SOPs. Maintain both paper and electronic based records. Manager transition of paper-based records to electronic records. Maintain master has copies of all controlled documents, ensuring proper labeling, version control, and protection from damage or loss. Ensure SOPs and associate forms are current and initiating change control procedures as needed. Coordinate with Quality Assurance, R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure timely review and release of documents. Responsible for learning and maintaining electronic document control quality management systems, including being a system administrator and subject matter expert. Ensure all documentation is organized, version-controlled, accessible to appropriate stakeholders, and backed up securely. Conduct periodic document audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Train staff on document control procedures and proper use of the change control program. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation in a timely and organized manner. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to document control and quality systems. Conduct new hire cGMP on-boarding training, create evaluation tests, issue job-specific curriculums, scheduled and deliver cGMP Annual Training and Food Safety training curriculum. Supports and trains all employees on Quality issues in their roles to assure compliance to regulations, track training progress via training matrix. Understand cGMP requirement as they relate to Quality Assurance. Help assist in QA functions related to customer documentation request. Manager KPI metrics. Review calibration results and document the review, support maintenance with updating the master calibration list in the maintenance software program. Assist in coordinating the production operation to ensure batch records are issues to the floor prior to production needs. Assist in supplier qualification programs. Assist in Quality Assurance operations related to customer and regulatory audits. Assist in pre-audit and questionnaire completion, GMP Certs, Licenses and Registrations etc. Perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring: Minimum High School diploma, Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 3+ years of experience related to quality in an industry regulated by 21 CFR Parts 111, 117, 210/211. Part 111 highly preferred. Strong project management skills, experience leading cross-functional teams, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is a must. Excellent verbal and written communication, understand instructions in English. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software. Familiar with ERP Systems (SAGE) and Quality Management Systems such as ETQ Reliance, Trackwise, MasterControl. The Operator must meet the objectives of productivity and time of change, including the use of good work, safety and health practices. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure the optimization of the wrapper, robots and check weighers. Ensures a good transition with the operator of the previous and following shift and informs of the critical watch points. Ensures immediate and accurate communication between “upstream and downstream” operations, team leads, supervisor, maintenance personnel. Responsible for the accuracy of the coding on the bars. Able to verify that the encoder is working properly and change data within the setting when required. Able to make simple adjustments in the HMI to control wrapper machine settings. Able to make adjustments to wrapper settings to ensure the setup is accurate and complete. Responsible for the conformity of seal integrity to meet required visual and vacuum testing specifications. Checks the wrapper film is properly threaded and the downstream packaging machinery is ready to receive the bars. Checks the code at the packing machine (web) at the requested frequency by completing the form FR-Checking codes. Completes all relevant sections/paperwork. Changes the code to the packer according to the quality control specifications (Documents available on each line). Validates with supervisor before requesting quality control clearance. Ensures there is always a roll ready to be used by the wrapper (well inserted, well placed, ready to stick on the roll paper currently used. Use small/partial rolls first (avoid accumulating incomplete rolls) Prepare the samples at the frequency requested by QC. Recycle off-spec products using white bins and return to mixing in a timely manner for reintegration. Notify supervisor of suspicious noises or other mechanical problems with the any and all equipment. Operate and unlock robots minimizing downtime Able to report any and all mechanical issues immediately to appropriate maintenance personnel Able to maintain cleanliness of the entire work area, particular attention to any mechanical functions. The Opportunity: The Sanitization Lead is responsible for developing, executing, and managing the sanitation and all equipment cleaning validation programs. This position ensures that all cleaning, hygiene, environmental monitoring, pest control, and cleaning validation processes are compliant with company, local, state, and federal food sanitation and GMP standards, customer requirements, and applicable third-party certification. The Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of cleaning equipment and cleaning validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ. They serve as the primary contact for sanitation and validation matters during regulatory inspections, audits, and internal reviews. The manager also collaborates closely with cross-functional teams - such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, Production, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure operational excellence, risk mitigation, and continuous compliance cGMP standards. What You'll Do: Disassemble, clean, sanitize, processing equipment such as kettles, CFA's, cooling, tunnels, incline conveyors, z elevators, bottling and packaging equipment, scoops, and all other machines, components and parts as directed by the Sanitation Supervisor. Lead and enforce the policies and procedures surrounding the food safety, sanitation, hygiene, environmental monitoring and pest control programs. Ensure facility compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal sanitation and cGMP regulations (21 CFR Part 111/117 and 21 CFR Part 210/211). Participates in internal/external audits. In instances of violations, develops/coordinates a cross-functional plan to correct the issues found. Processing a keen understanding of industry laws, then consult with management to address compliance issues and make recommendations to improve processes. Develop and maintain sanitation SOPs and the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) across all manufacturing shifts and areas. Keep detailed records of all sanitation-related activities and issues, such as inspections and violations, also noting how and when each situation was resolved. Develop and conduct cleaning validations on production equipment. Develop Validation Master Plan, process flow diagrams, and test cases in compliance with company standards, current industry standards, and regulatory expectations. Ensure cleaning validation protocols include visual inspection criteria, swab/surface testing (e.g., TOC, HPLC), and worst case scenario evaluations (e.g., allergen, active ingredient carryover). Chemical management. Identify deviations from established product or process standards and provide recommendations for resolving deviations. Analyze validation test data to determine whether systems or processes have met validation criteria or to identify root causes of problems. Write, review, and approve validation protocols and reports; ensures adherence to validation strategies aligned with product risk profiles. Coordinate the implementation or scheduling of validation testing with affected departments and personnel. Create, populate, or maintain databases for tracking validation activities, test results, or validated systems. Prepare detailed reports based on results of validation and qualification tests or reviews of procedures and protocols. Direct validation activities, such as protocol creation or testing. Maintain sanitation programs for all sites. Maintain pest control for all sites. Maintain an environmental monitoring programs for all sites. What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree within Food Science or Microbiology background is preferred. or equivalent knowledge and experienced gained from working within the field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in regulated manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Hands-on experience with FDA- regulated manufacturing - specifically 21 CFR Part 111 (Dietary Supplements) and 21 CFR 210/211 (OTC Pharmaceuticals). Demonstrated experience with cleaning validation, and equipment qualification in a high-compliance environment. The Opportunity: A Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring all dietary supplement products comply with the specifications established by Merical and cGMPs.
