Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
The individual must have current Minnesota State Licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor meeting all requirements of Minnesota Statute 148F.
Minimum 1-year experience in a chemical dependency facility or related and 2-3 years related experience required, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must know and understand the implication of parts 9530.6405 to 9530.6505 (Rule 31), and Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245A (Human Services Licensing Act-HSLA), sections 626.556 (Maltreatment of Minors Act-MOMA), 626.557 (Vulnerable Act-VAA), and 626.5572 (VAA definitions).
Must document 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems and chemical abuse of dependency that includes competencies related to philosophy, screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation, programming, medication, collaboration, mental health consultation, and discharge planning.
On-going training on cultural awareness and demonstration of sensitivity to various cultural norms and values.
Computer literate.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist Program Manager in conducting screening and intake interviews with potential clients and referral sources to assess for appropriateness of placement and eligibility for admission.
Complete the required documents for admission to the program including the Individual Abuse Prevention Plan, Initial Services Plan, and Release of Information forms.
Describe program guidelines and expectations to clients. Provide clients in a timely manner with information and understanding of their client rights, and any other information deemed necessary by Progress Valley or licensing agencies.
Complete appropriate assessments and develop a diagnostic evaluation that allows for an integrated approach to treatment planning.
Work with clients to identify and evaluate their strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences with the goal to develop an individualized treatment plan.
Work with the client to establish immediate and long-term treatment goals and objectives; decide on a treatment process and the resources to be utilized.
Assist clients and families (when deemed necessary) in achieving their treatment goals and objectives by utilizing appropriate therapeutic methods and recognized best practices.
Provide case management that brings services, agencies, resources, or people together within a planned framework of action toward the achievement of established goals.
Develop curriculum for and facilitate therapeutic, behavioral, and educational group sessions (including lectures).
Identify with the client any needs (of client) which cannot be met by Progress Valley and assist the client to utilize the support systems and community resources available to them.
Develop and present relevant alcohol and other drug abuse and co-occurring information to clients, family, and community members through formal educational presentations.
Recognize client crises and implement an appropriate course of action.
Individualize counseling in accordance with cultural, gender, and lifestyle differences.
Make appropriate and timely referrals when necessary.
Provide timely and accurate documentation which includes, but is not limited to, client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other client-related data.
Consult with other internal staff and/or external professionals in regard to client treatment and services to ensure comprehensive, quality care for the client.
Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies related to the protection of client confidentiality.
Monitor and approve the use of client privileges.
Participate in staff meetings, clinical staff meetings, training, and other meetings as assigned. Remain current on licensing requirements.
With the clinical team, ensure daily clinical availability, including emergency and on-call coverage.

This position requires you to be licensed at the independent level in any state as an Mental Health Counselor, Therapist, or Social Worker. This position would work in support of On Demand Events, Surges, Summer Camps, and Backfills supporting the MFLC program.
The Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) will provide coverage in short-term, surge and on demand situations resulting from the Military needs such as a post-deployment event or to cover an existing assignment for counselors who are absent. The Summer ARC counselor position covers assignments during the May 15th through September 15th time period, coinciding with the school summer break. With minimal guidance and oversight, provides the full breadth of Adult or Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations. These services may include non- medical counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel at child daycare centers and schools, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues affecting military personnel and their family members. ARC CYB counselors may be assigned to DoDEA schools and community schools and will need to have experience working in a school setting to qualify for ARC role in backing up a school position. CYB counselors may also be assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and on demand assignments. ARC adult counselors may be assigned to support MFLC services in a variety of military community and readiness centers, as well as on-demand and surge assignments. The counselors work closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to assure that the program is provided within scope and meets the needs of the installation.
Provides non-medical, short term, solution focused, counseling directly to adults, children, and youth of service members. Services include assessment, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referral to resources (assuring linkage as appropriate), and follow-up as indicated.
CYB counselors will also have a focus on supporting the staff and personnel of CDCs, DoDEA and community schools, youth programs and summer camps as well as providing parent training and guidance.
Provides training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities.
Enters counselor activity data daily through smart phone or web application assure that reporting is accurate from assigned installation while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of service / family member.

General Description
Counselors are responsible for the day-to-day care and supervision of students. The Talent Acquisition Configuration Developer - Phenom will manage and support HR technology systems and tools such as the Workday ATS and Phenom CRM, by collaborating with HR and IT teams to configure, customize, implement, and maintain HR software, troubleshoot technical issues, analyze and report HR data, and provide user support and training.

Implement processes that upgrade HR technology systems by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop project plans, and execute system implementations.
Utilize Jira to Document requirements for configuration changes in partnership with Product Owner and Business Owners.
Under general direction, configure and customize HR technology systems to align with HR processes, policies, and requirements.
Develop and maintain data analytics and reporting capabilities to provide HR and management with meaningful insights.
Deliver training programs and resources to educate HR users on the functionality and best practices of HR technology systems.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within HR technology systems by streamlining workflows, eliminating redundancies, and enhancing system capabilities to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides, standard operating procedures, and system configuration documentation.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjust priorities, and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest level of attention to detail.

Provides oversight and direction for utilization of volunteers in Child Life department. Possesses expert knowledge of medical diagnosis and procedures. Understands special needs of children with chronic or disabling conditions, with expertise in the use of play activities in a health care environment and in-depth knowledge of research regarding children in health care settings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, Human Development, or related field required. Completion of Child Life internship required.
Minimum two years experience working with various age groups of children is preferred. Experience working with pediatric population in a therapeutic setting desired.
Certification as a Child Life Specialist (CCLS) is required or must be obtained within one year of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of hire.

Position Summary
This position provides Family Peer support services within the Mental Health Crisis Services to clients 5 until 18 years of age through identifying and creating goals and developing recovery plans with the skills, strengths, supports, and resources to aid them in achieving those goals. This non-clinical position may also deal with supporting crisis calls and providing in-home family peer support. Assist clients by helping break down barriers to community resources and provide encouragement for involvement in community activities that support their goals and interests.

Minimum Qualifications
Certified family peer specialist programs must operate within an existing mental health community provider.
The certified family peer specialist must meet all of the following qualifications:
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess a high school diploma/GED or higher
Have raised or are currently raising a child with a mental illness
Be currently navigating or have experience navigating the children's mental health system
Successfully complete the Minnesota Department of Human Services-approved Certified Family Peer Specialist Training and Certification exam
This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation for business-related travel. Must have the ability to maintain clean driving records, a current driver's license, and auto insurance coverage that meets the requirements set forth by Canvas Health insurance policy limits.
