You are the dynamic, passionate Dental Hygienist we are looking for. Your expertise and professionalism are needed at our Dental Office located in Fort Wayne, IN to provide skilled dental assistant duties, services, or capacities under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm. Travel, up to 30% required for initial training.

Dental Hygienist Key Responsibilities:
Performs under Access Practice Agreement and Prescriptive Hygiene functions.
Performs all hygiene duties outlined by the supervising dentist
Obtains preliminary dental history, makes observations, assessments and records appropriate findings.
Prepares patient for the complete dental examination by the dentist.
Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
Interviews and advises patients regarding dental hygiene, tooth decay prevention, gum disease, etc.
Scales teeth.
Refers patients as appropriate.
Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
Provides monitoring and continuity of care between clinic visits as required.
Remains current in advanced practice changes within area, and where relevant, translates these findings into clinical practice.
Follows infection control guidelines and ensures adherence to OSHA and CLIA protocols due to potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
Participates in the development and implementation of PCER guidelines.
Demonstrates ongoing professional growth through participation in relevant educational endeavors and appropriate associations.
Maintains CPR certification and re-licensure requirements.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Attends and participates in meetings and in-services as required. Serves on committees as requested.
Complies with all agency policies and procedures concerning corporate compliance including privacy of protected health information.
Performs related work as required and other duties as assigned.
We value your Dental Hygienist experience and education:
Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
Current Indiana State Dental Hygiene License
Dental Radiographer license obtained within the first 6 months of employment
Two years' experience as a dental hygienists preferred.

Assist providers with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed.
Remains in exam room with provider during patient exams as requested or assigned.
Follows infection control guidelines and ensures adherence to OSHA and CLIA protocols due to potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
Performs daily controls on equipment and maintains records/logs in accordance with regulations and protocol.
Prepares medications
Maintains CPR certification and licensure requirements.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Completes weekly task assignment
Accurately triage walk in patients and call-ins.
Stock supplies in medical rooms prior to all shifts.
Check expiration dates on all pharmacy and other stored products.
