    Working Title: ELIGIBILITY DETERMINATION SPEC (IV-E) - 60075516 Pay Plan: Career Service 60075516 Salary: $55,000 Annually Total Compensation Estimator Tool Eligibility Determination Specialist (IV-E) Position #60075516 Open Competitive Statewide Advertisement This position is responsible for reviewing and approving eligibility determinations for federal funding including, but not limited to, foster care, adoption, and guardianship. This position requires knowledge of child welfare programs. Minimum Requirements: * One year of experience in child welfare. * One year of experience in federal or state eligibility/claiming determinations. Software Proficiency: * At minimum, one year of experience in Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) or similar state child welfare/eligibility system * Microsoft Excel Essential Job Functions: * Approve program and funding eligibility determinations in the state Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) currently Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN). * Utilize reports to monitor that eligibility determinations are submitted as required in a timely manner. Read, understand, apply the policies and procedures established for eligibility determinations. * Participates in title IV-E foster care reviews conducted by the Children's Bureau as requested. * Enhance and maintain professional knowledge and expertise by participating in training seminars, workshops and conferences. * Provides technical assistance to contracted agencies on federal funding eligibility and assist with conducting statewide trainings. * Makes recommendations concerning the use of information from legacy/new information systems, and improvements to those systems including new information system development for eligibility. * Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with organizations and other agencies involved with federal and state eligibility associated with child welfare. * Participates in title IV-E foster care reviews conducted by the Children's Bureau as requested. * Performs other related duties as assigned.     Job Description This position is for an enthusiastic organized self-starter; who possess the ability to oversee the paperwork, and documentation of the Regional Residential Sites for Pathways Community Living. This is a full-time administrative role. The duties required will ensure regulatory paperwork is maintained in all sites and collaboration is continuous among all business lines. Local travel is required in this role. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Become familiar with all participant Vial of Life information for each participant.* Complete weekly reviews of service delivery documentation weekly. Assisting with the review of notes daily for accuracy and to make sure they are present in ALIS. Have staff revise notes as needed for content. * Assist with the creation of monthly reports of participants' progress. Review of goal sheets, compile data for each participant to send to paperwork specialist. * Reports are due on the 5th of every month. Complete weekly MAR reviews in each house for each participant and report any issues in the weekly report. * Complete weekly review of staff time cards to ensure that they are being entered. Report any issues in the weekly report. * Gather weekly paperwork from each site to be submitted at weekly supervision. Paperwork may include, but is not limited to: MARs, mail, sign off documents, car logs, chore sheets, medical appointment forms, count sheets, etc. * Attend relevant meetings such as, Monday morning supervision, at 10:00 AM.* Create and maintain weekly activity/appointment calendars for all sites and participants. * Assist with the creation of weekly grocery lists for all sites in conjunction with the culinary department.* Complies with all policies, procedures, and Chapter 6400 regulations.* Complete monthly inventories for all participants and update in ALIS.* Maintains company vehicles that are clean and in good working order. * Assist with family communication for all participants upon request. * Assist with the compilation of required paperwork, appointment sheets, etc. for participant ISP meetings.* Complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner and submit to appropriate department heads (medical, accounting, residential, etc.)* Effectively communicate with the supervisor team as well as the leadership team to ensure the entire team is united. * Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
