About this Role
Job Title: Designer - Transmission Line
At QISG, our Transmission Line teams play a vital role in the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of power across communities and regions. We design, build, maintain, and upgrade high-voltage transmission infrastructure that supports the backbone of the electric grid. Whether working on new construction, line upgrades, or critical maintenance, our teams ensure projects are executed with the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. Our work involves both traditional methods and the latest industry innovations to deliver sustainable, cost-effective, and reliable solutions for our customers.
The Designer, Transmission will perform routine Transmission Line design assignments, which requires knowledge and skill in basic design techniques and procedure. Thorough knowledge of design standards, material, and CAD software will be required. Experience with 3D design software packages is preferred. This position will report to a Lead Designer and support transmission line projects across the QISG platform.

• Work on design aspects from project inception to completion on various transmission line projects.

What You'll Bring
• Associates degree in Drafting & Design is preferred.
• Experience in drafting disciplines with a background in civil / structural or transmission design is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the electric utility industry performing detailed CAD/design for high voltage transmission line projects.
• Experience with 3D design software (AutoCad Inventor, SDS, etc.) is preferred.

The Supervising Engineer will oversee the detailed design of high voltage substation projects. This role involves managing a team of engineers, designers and support staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering, with extensive experience in performing the detailed design of high voltage substation projects.
What You'll Do
Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, including planning, design, permitting, construction support, and closeout.
Supervise a team of engineers, designers, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Oversee the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, and plans for high voltage electrical substation projects.
Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
Ensure all projects comply with applicable industry, client, governmental regulations and standards.
Implement and oversee quality control procedures.
Prepare and maintain detailed project status reports, engineering documentation, and records.

What You'll Bring
Minimum of 7 years' experience in the electric utility industry performing engineering related duties and/or management for high voltage electrical substation design.
Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
P.E. license required.
Proven track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and practices.
Expert knowledge of electric utility engineering and construction standards.
Knowledge of utility industry processes including scheduling, contracts, coordinating and managing all disciplines.
Knowledge of process and procedures for project controls and estimates.
Demonstrated experience supporting external customers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations, including ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, IEEE NEC, NESC, and others.

About this Role

As a Risk Analyst intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to the risk management activities of our organization. About this Role
NorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Field-Based Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical and I&E construction activities at data center and crypto facility projects in Colorado City, TX. This role oversees planning, execution, and delivery of electrical scopes, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to client expectations. The Project Manager will serve as the on-site leader, working directly with superintendents, field crews, and subcontractors while maintaining communication with clients and executive leadership.

What You'll Do
* Manage the full lifecycle of I&E project scopes including planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
* Serve as the primary field-based point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
* Oversee daily site operations and coordinate between multiple trade disciplines.
* Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets; identify risks and implement corrective actions.
* Track material usage, equipment readiness, and labor productivity.
* Ensure compliance with all safety policies, electrical codes, and client requirements.
* Review and approve RFIs, submittals, and change orders in coordination with the project team.
* Lead weekly project meetings with clients and field staff; communicate progress and resolve issues.
* Mentor and support field supervisors, ensuring alignment between office planning and field execution.
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, preferred
* 7+ years of project management experience in electrical, utility, or I&E construction
* Proven experience managing electrical scopes for large-scale facilities such as data centers, industrial plants, or energy infrastructure
* Strong understanding of switchgear, conduit, cabling, and controls
* Proficiency with scheduling and project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

* Valid driver's license

About this Role
The Assistant Project Manager/Engineer supports the Project Manager in overseeing and coordinating various aspects of a project, such as project planning and scheduling, monitoring project progress, communicating with stakeholders, coordinating with team members and subcontractors, tracking project expenses, and ensuring that the project stays on track and within budget.
