Villavarayan was promoted to EVP and COO in January 2020, a new position for the company. Prior to that he served as senior vice president and president of Meritor's Global Truck segment, from January 2018.

Villavarayan has global operating responsibility for both of Meritor's business segments, Global Truck and Aftermarket & Industrial and Trailer.

Carl Anderson is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Meritor, Inc. He serves as a member of the company's Executive Committee and leads the development and execution of the company's global long-term financial strategy, which includes driving profitable growth, generating sustainable cash flow and allocating capital to maximize value creation. In addition to his overall responsibility for Finance, Anderson also oversees Corporate Strategy and Information Systems.

Anderson joined Meritor in 2006 as the director of capital markets. Before joining Meritor, he held various finance and treasury roles at First Chicago NBD Bank and GMAC for more than 10 years.

Anderson earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Michigan State University and holds a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University.
