Merrick & Company's High Performance Facilities (HPF) team is seeking an experienced Mechanical Facilities Engineer III to provide HVAC and Plumbing design for a wide range of national defense projects in our Albuquerque, NM office. Annual salary range for this position is $102,400.00 - $132,600.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Mechanical Facilities Engineer III will design HVAC and Plumbing/Piping systems for an exciting range of mission critical to mission support projects. Project work will encompass:
* Plan, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of HVAC and Plumbing design work with calculations, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, layout of mechanical equipment and associated duct and piping systems, and sequences of operations.
* Develop mechanical construction and equipment specifications, test and inspection plans, and system design descriptions.
* Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for projects with less complex features, but also collaborate and use judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments and more complex projects.
* Perform engineering quality assurance checks of project designs.
* Support new project proposals with mechanical discipline scopes, budget estimates, and schedules.
* Interface with and present designs to Federal, State, and Local government client contacts.
The Mechanical Facilities Engineer III will be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of architectural and engineering staff producing project design packages of drawings, specifications, and calculations. The position includes great leadership opportunity with task assignment and work coordination with engineers, designers, and administrative staff. Periodic travel to other Merrick offices or project site locations, including international travel, may be required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum eight (8) years of experience.
* Professional Engineering (P.E.) License required.
* Ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance.
* Experience in HVAC and plumbing/piping systems design and associated engineering calculations (e.g. Air-handling systems, laboratory fume hood exhaust air systems, duct systems, heating and chilled water hydronic piping systems, natural gas piping systems, domestic water and waste water piping systems, steam and condensate piping systems, compressed air systems, and mechanical system controls).
* Experience sizing and selecting HVAC and plumbing/piping equipment (e.g. air-handling units, fans/blowers, pumps, cooling towers, chillers, boilers, coils, HEPA filtration systems, dampers, valves, and controls).
* Proficient in editing and writing mechanical construction and equipment specifications.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Experience using HVAC computer load and design programs such as Trane Trace software; knowledge of Revit building information modeling software; and familiarity with AutoCAD.
* Working knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA standards.
* Working knowledge of IMC, IPC, and IBC codes.
* The client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.

The Physical Therapy Assistant Provides clinical physical therapy treatments for program participants on acute, restorative and maintenance levels as needed. Follows the treatment plan as per Registered Physical Therapist assessment and documented care plan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A graduate from a physical therapist assistant curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Colorado.
Minimum of one-year experience working with the frail or elderly population required.
Minimum of one year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
Good working knowledge of physical, psychosocial and behavioral needs of the elderly population.
Able to understand medical terminology and how it applies to physical therapy, to communicate with participants, staff, IDT and physicians, and how to prepare meaningful reports.
Ability to communicate with the participants to establish favorable attitude to motivate the participants to desired cooperation and effort in his/her rehabilitation development.
Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform physical therapy treatments and related duties as may be delegated by the physical therapist.
Communicate Participant's changes and progress per treatment plan on a regular basis to Registered Physical Therapist.
Maintain proper documentation according to state, federal PACE regulations.
Maintain proper records according to PACE policy and procedures.
Perform and record, if required, as specified by the planned treatment program, non-evaluative on-going data: Measurements of vital signs, range of motion, strength and linear increments; Types of assistive mobility devices used, and the distances covered; Results of tests and evaluations performed by the registered physical therapist.
Respond to psych-social support needs of the participant and/or the participant's family.
Communicate appropriately and effectively with all personnel and to document according to professional standards.
Keep timely records, meet regularly with the Registered Physical Therapist and attend care conferences as requested.
Participate in patient care conferences and other rehabilitation related meetings as appropriate.
Communicate with Registered Physical Therapist and IDT members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
Participate in in-service training programs for all staff in the facility.
Instruct participant and family members and nursing staff in restorative and therapeutic maintenance programs.
Abides by regulations pertaining to PACE as established by Federal and State Agencies and the Volunteers of America Health Facilities policies.
Attends required in-services & completes assigned online modules.
Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have at least two years of experience in the Structural Engineering field. The Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager will support and lead projects for water and wastewater clients primarily in the Albuquerque area but also include national projects including planning, designing, and preparing plans related to water and wastewater infrastructure which may be comprised of water distribution and sewage collection systems, pump stations, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
