This position entails supporting the design and retrofit of Department of Energy governmental facility and equipment projects. * Registered Professional Engineer (PE) and the ability to obtain New Mexico, South Carolina and/or Tennessee PE license within a reasonable amount of time.

AECOM is seeking an experienced On-site Construction Engineer to support projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This is an onsite, full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Administer a Construction Quality Management Program (CQMP) on assigned projects. Provide advice, solutions, and assistance to the Construction Manager on technical matters requiring knowledge of engineering practices and construction methods.
Review Contractor Quality Control (CQC) and Safety plans for completeness and compliance with the terms of the construction contract. Provide review comments together with recommendations for improvements. Continually monitor contractor execution of both the CQC and Safety programs, providing corrective information as necessary.
Inspect construction work on a recurring basis to assure that the work complies with the construction contract documents. Assist the Construction Manager and Quality Assurance Manager in preparing Contract Construction Compliance Notices (CCCNs) in cases where workmanship and/or material are not in compliance with the construction contract documents or ongoing work is liable to result in unsatisfactory construction.
Assist with processing contractor submittals and requests for information including progress schedules, utility outage requests, shop drawings and O&M manuals for accuracy and compliance with the terms of the contract.
Assist with the review of contractor requests for payment by comparing the monthly invoice to the field pay estimate worksheet and most recent progress schedule.
Coordinating and monitoring all utility work with various agencies including the Contractor to enhance the completion of the project.
Prepare and process construction contract "closing-out" documents.
Assist in document management and project controls support, including maintaining electronic document control systems and project files/documentation.
Attend preparatory meetings and participate in the 3-Phase inspection process required under the contract.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture with 4 Years of relevant experience in construction.
Valid US Driver's License.
Due to the nature of the project, US citizenship is required.
Preferred Requirements:
5+ years of progressively challenging experience on major construction projects.
Construction Quality Management Certification (CQM-C)
Familiarity with Construction Project Documentation

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a CivilEngineer II for the Surface Transportation Department in Colorado Springs, CO. Projects may include the design of urban and rural roadways, interstate highways, interchanges, design-build and more.
Work may include projects such as the
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Geometric design of roadways creating horizontal and vertical alignments and models
* Preparation of design reports including design study reports, and technical memorandums
* Coordination with project stakeholders including clients, the public, utility companies, and permitting agencies.
* Plan preparation for roadway plans in accordance with CDOT or Local standards.
* Calculate quantities and estimates for CDOT and local transportation projects
* Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
* Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
* Prepares technical specification sections.
* Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
* BA/BS + 2 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in CivilEngineering or a similar technical area
* Engineer in Training certification
* Passed the Professional Engineer exam

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CivilEngineer II to join our Transportation Drainage team in Colorado Springs, United States. In this critical role, you will be involved with planning, designing, and implementing drainage systems for various multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
Job Responsibilities:
* Design and provide analysis of drainage systems for highways, roads, and other transportation drainage systems.
* Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic analyses using advanced modeling software
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to stormwater management and flood control
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental specialists, geotechnical engineers, and structural engineers
* Prepare and review technical reports, design calculations, and construction documents
* Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in transportation drainage
* Conduct floodplain and watershed studies for local channels and FEMA projects
* Perform Low Impact Development and Green Infrastructure analysis and design for local and Federal projects
* Analyze and design water quality facilities to comply with local Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permitting regulations
* Collaborate with geotechnical to perform dam breach analysis, scour evaluations, and fluvial process/geomorphic hazard assessments
* Develop or assist with the development of programming routines in GIS (Python, JavaScript, R)

+ Provide technical review of specifications, design drawings, reports, and calculations regarding hydraulic steel structures.

The West Region Dams and Reservoirs team of AECOM is actively seeking a motivated, creative, highly talented Structural Engineer (Part-time Variable) with risk analysis experience in the dams and hydraulics structures industry. The dams and reservoirs team within the Water Business Line is responsible for providing engineering and design services in support of multidisciplinary projects, with a focus on water storage and hydropower dam projects, while also supporting tailing dams projects with the Mining Department.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Provide technical review of specifications, design drawings, reports, and calculations regarding hydraulic steel structures.
* Mentor and share knowledge regarding welding, fracture critical structures, and lessons learned regarding the fabrication of hydraulic steel structures.
* Visit fabrication shops and perform surprise inspections.
* Review shop drawings, RFIs, weld inspection reports, welder qualifications, and other fabrication related submittals.
* Perform site visits related to hydraulic steel structures, including inspections, retrofits, gate replacement, and other tasks to support client objectives.
* Attend workshops as a SME for risk evaluations related to hydraulic steel structures.
* Provide expert review on the welding of penstocks, penstock material selection, fabrication of penstocks, and delivery of penstocks to sites being developed for pump hydro.
* Attend technical conferences with clients as a SME regarding the fabrication, welding, and construction of hydraulic steel structures including gates and penstocks.
* Author short memos and sections of reports that detail welding requirements, welder qualifications, weld NDT testing, shop visits, cons.
* Support and provide oversight on the development of hydraulic steel structure design path, gate selection, pros and cons of gate type, weld detailing, construction and fabrication detailing, and inspection schedule.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging dam and hydropower projects and collaborate with a wide range of different engineering disciplines and industry professionals.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Oversee and perform comprehensive subsurface investigations including drilling on federal, state, municipal, and privately owned dams as well as managing CPT and geophysical data investigations, test pits, borrow area evaluations, and monitoring and performance instrumentation installations in the western US region.
Plan, perform, and manage complex and dynamic field exploration programs, material characterization, and laboratory testing of soil and rock materials.
Oversee and perform geotechnical analyses which include material characterization, seepage, slope stability, settlement, liquefaction, and deformation.
Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and recommendations including geotechnical data, analyses, and design-related reports.
Prepare and present technical presentations to project teams, clients, federal, state, and municipal regulators, and independent technical review boards.
Review and understanding of regulatory guidelines and industry standards necessary to conduct technical studies and carry out project design and permitting work on dams.
Participate in dam safety inspections and prepare summary reports with recommendations of findings.
Oversee and perform inspections of construction activities to monitor progress and assess conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction standards.
Prepare and/or perform peer review of calculations, designs, specifications, and construction documents.
Develop, oversee, and understand health and safety plans and requirements for field investigations, dam safety inspections, and construction oversight.
Review engineering reports, calculations, and documentation prepared by junior staff.
Perform quality, detailed, and accurate work by applying AECOM's QA/QC standards to their own work and work of the project team.
