    The Aerospace Market Lead creates and executes approaches for winning new business and securing contracts by identifying opportunities, building bid/delivery teams, and client delivery for the company's aerospace sector. Priority focus will be on the commercial space (aka NewSpace) to include spaceports, space parks, and related infrastructure, satellite and spacecraft manufacturing, and launch vehicle development and testing. Other areas include ground based strategic deterrent (GBSD), missile defense, commercial/civil aviation, and related technologies (e.g., supersonic/hypersonic testing, fuel production, etc.). This role reports to the Director of Aerospace Strategy and ensures opportunities are in place to effectively grow the aerospace market and to ensure the financial strength and operating efficiency of the aerospace market pursuits and projects. Salary for this position is $153,000 to 198,000 depending on experience WHAT YOU'LL DO Support the Director of Aerospace Strategy in the following: * Create and implement prioritized capture plans to meet the company's aerospace business goals. * Identify customer needs and analyze the competitive landscape to identify winning strategies. * Identify, recruit, and manage teaming partners and suppliers to increase the win probability and bolster the company's capabilities. * Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to understand their objectives, priorities, and requirements. * Lead the development of win themes, value propositions, technical solutions, and proposal messaging to differentiate the company's offerings. * Coordinate with and lead teams across Business Units, including technical experts, operations, business development, and proposal writers on aerospace pursuits. Ability to provide relevant consulting and/or engineering services to new aerospace customers, as appropriate. * Present capture plans, status reports, and competitive assessments to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Job Description AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in our Virginia Beach, VA office. This individual will serve as a leader within the team, overseeing multiple projects, managing key deliverables, and maintaining strong client relationships. As a Structural Engineer, the appropriately qualified applicant will be part of a team responsible for the design of small to large-scale Ports & Marine projects: Conduct/manage engineering structural design as the supervisor or lead structural engineer Create or review designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings Collects and analyzes data Use computer software as a tool for solving basic and complex engineering problems Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule Mentor junior staff Develop and implement innovative structural solutions for complex marine projects Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with other engineering disciplines Manages one or more complex projects involving a full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOM Provides project and technical task management for one or more simultaneous projects Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendations Client Relationships: Ability to assist in developing new client relationships and to strengthen existing client relationships. Ability to identify, understand and focus on clients' key requirements Team leadership: good team leadership skills. Self-starter, energetic, pro-active Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for project execution Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation Prepare and deliver project status reports to senior management and clients Qualifications Minimum Requirements: BS in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Maritime Engineering with 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Professional Engineer License with the ability to attain reciprocity in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, or Pennsylvania within 6 months of hire Due to the projects associated with the position a US Citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications: Previous marine structural design experience Experience leading/ managing structural design projects Experience with computer aided design (AutoCAD) Previous experience in leading projects meeting required quality, timeliness, and budget parameters Project Management experience in marine terminal related infrastructure Previous experience in maintaining client relationships Experienced in planning, design, and construction management Previous experience with Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) planning and design Additional Information Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position Relocation is not provided for this position About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
