What You'll Do:Technical Proficiency: Perform a range of tasks such as bank stability and erosion protection calculations, sediment capping and dredge prism design, and work scope and cost estimating of remedial alternatives.Geotechnical Analysis: Conduct geotechnical calculations, modeling, and analysis to support project design.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Civil 3D CAD principles for contaminated sediment remediation, navigational dredging, and/or geotechnical engineering solutions.Project Management Support: Support crucial phases of projects including Predesign Investigation (PDI), Basis of Design Report (BODR), remedial design work plan (RDWP), and 30/60/90 final design.Drive Sales and Business Development: Leverage your existing connections to uncover new business opportunities and expand Foth's market reach. $80,000 - $170,000 a year
The base compensation listed for this job posting reflects a general range for the posted position. Base compensation will vary based on factors such as: years of experience, location, level of responsibility and licenses/certifications. Responsible for quality control.
Provide guidance and mentorship junior staff.
Develop engineering proposals.

Assist and perform the roles of a Project Manager such as maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering.
4 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
Relevant experience with dams and other hydraulic structures, including rehabilitation and/or new design and construction.
Experience in relevant geotechnical engineering software programs such as GeoStudio and gINT.
Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering.
Ability and desire to occasionally travel to project sites, both local and remote.
Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem solving skills Effective time-management and interpersonal skills.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer in at least one state with the ability to successfully apply for reciprocity in additional states.

AECOM is seeking a **Senior Sediment Environmental Scientist** with **lots of experience** in contaminated site management with a focus on sediment investigation and remediation. This leadership position is ideal for a highly experienced environmental scientist who excels in managing complex sediment remediation projects, developing innovative solutions, and mentoring teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in sediment site assessments, remedial design, and implementation under **CERCLA** (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act) regulations. This role requires a proven ability to drive high-level technical decisions, manage large-scale projects, and interact with clients and regulatory agencies at the highest levels.
As a Senior Sediment Environmental Scientist, you will take on a leadership role in managing and directing sediment remediation projects from concept through to post-remediation monitoring. You will be responsible for the strategic direction, technical quality, and regulatory compliance of multiple projects while mentoring junior and mid-level staff. Your role will involve working closely with senior management, clients, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with environmental regulations.
We are open to having the candidate work from any location within the US Mainland, in what is our preferred work model of a hybrid basis, but we are open to candidates working 100 percent remotely, depending on their current location within the US. Some of the Key Responsibilities will be:
+ **Leadership in Sediment Site Investigations & Characterization:** Lead complex sediment site assessments, environmental investigations, and contaminant assessments in aquatic and terrestrial environments. Provide technical direction on sampling plans, data collection methods, and analysis of sediment, water, and biota to evaluate the extent of contamination and associated risks.
+ **Strategic Remedial Design & Technology Leadership:** Develop, oversee, and guide the design of advanced sediment remediation strategies for challenging sites, including dredging, capping, in-situ treatment, and ecological restoration. Lead the preparation of **Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies (RI/FS)** , **Remedial Action Plans (RAPs)** , and **Risk Assessments** tailored to site-specific conditions.
+ **Regulatory Oversight & Compliance Management:** Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including **CERCLA** , **RCRA** , and other applicable environmental laws. Lead regulatory negotiations, prepare high-level reports for regulatory agencies, and manage the permit and approval processes for complex remediation projects.
+ **Business Development & Client Growth:** Build and nurture strong relationships with potential clients, regulatory agencies, and industry stakeholders to expand the company's client base. Lead proposal development, including writing technical sections, cost estimates, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to submit competitive bids for new projects. Assist senior leadership in developing strategies for market expansion, identifying emerging trends, and fostering long-term partnerships to support business growth.
+ **Client & Stakeholder Management:** Serve as the primary technical and strategic contact for clients, maintaining and building relationships with key stakeholders. Regularly provide high-level project updates, address technical challenges, and guide clients through decision-making processes. + **Post-Remediation Monitoring & Long-Term Site Management:** Lead post-remediation monitoring efforts to assess the effectiveness of remedial actions. Ensure that monitoring programs are designed to track site recovery and compliance with remedial objectives. Oversee the preparation of post-remediation reports and long-term stewardship plans.
+ **Team Leadership & Staff Development:** Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff, providing technical guidance, project oversight, and career development support. Encourage knowledge-sharing and foster an environment of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
+ **Innovation & Technical Excellence:** Drive innovation in sediment remediation practices, evaluating new technologies and approaches to improve remediation outcomes. Participate in industry conferences, publish technical papers, and stay current on emerging trends in environmental science and remediation technologies.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Qualifications:
+ BA/BS degree or higher in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field AND 12, twelve plus years of experience and education or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Professional Certification such as: Professional Geologist (PG) or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or any other advanced certifications in Environmental Science or related field
+ US Citizenship

+ Strong knowledge of sediment contamination issues, including organice and inorganic pollutants (e.g. PCBs, PAHs, metals, pesticides, etc.) and the associated environmental risks
+ Proficiency in using environmental modeling tools (e.g. GIS, Fate and transport modeling) and data management software such as Equis
+ Exceptional Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to clients, regulators, and non-technical stakeholders
+ Experience preparing high level reports, regulatory submissions, and presentations
+ Ability to guide clients through challenging technical and regulatory decisions
+ HAZWOPER 40, with 8 hour refresher (if necessary)

AECOM is seeking passionate talent with a customer focused mindset for Part Time Safety Service Patrol Operator positions in Colonial Heights, VA. These positions will be a direct report to the Safety Service Patrol (SSP) Supervisor and Management Team with direct public and multi-agency communications. Starting pay is $19.00hr.
About this Opportunity
Virginia's DOT Safety Service Patroller's play a key critical role in safeguarding motorists traveling the interstates by ensuring roadways are clear of debris, reporting highway maintenance issues and assisting stranded motorists. Our SSP program operates 7 days a week, 365 days per year, serving a critical role in the delivery of safety and mobility to the motoring public.
As this is a 24/7/365 operation center, schedules are dictated by operational need and stated in advance and will include on call duties. Schedules may vary and individuals selected will be required to successfully complete certification training.
The responsibilities of the SSP include, but are not limited to:
Establishing temporary traffic control for emergency responders and providing scene assistance.
Detecting incidents and disruptions in traffic.
Clearing obstructions and debris from the roadway.
The Safety Service Patrol also offers help to individual motorists, including:
Tire change assistance.
Fuel to get to the nearest gas station.
Jump starts.
Water for overheating radiators.
Phone access to call tow / recovery services.
Directions.
To ensure safety, Safety Service Patrol operators are provided with special highly visible, reflective uniforms and drive specially marked vehicles.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma and or equivalent certificate (GED) or 1 year of relevant work experience in lieu of education.
Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Ability to drive, using an AECOM provided vehicle, patrolling and monitoring a segment of interstate roadway in an assigned region.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; must also successfully complete Virginia Department of Transportation fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
Possess a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record in the last 3 years, including no suspension of license or single violation that the department of motor vehicle treats as worth 6 demerits.
Employees must also participate in monthly MVR monitoring program and maintain a satisfactory driving record as a condition of employment.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and successfully participate in the program's mandatory random drug screening process.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, moisture, dust, dryness.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five (5) years of driving experience.
Prior Safety Service Patrol Operator experience.
Knowledge/experience of incident management techniques.
Radio and telecommunications experience.
Possess or be able and willing to obtain CPR certifications.
Basic competency in using computers such as laptops, smart pads.
Working knowledge of basic automotive repair.
A positive customer service attitude - both to co-workers (internal customers) and external customers.
Geographic familiarity with regional freeway system and arterial roads.

Some of the Key Responsibilities are as follows:
Sediment Site Investigations: Assist in conducting sediment site investigations, including field data collection (sampling, coring), site assessments, and contamination evaluations. Help interpret data and contribute to the preparation of technical reports outlining findings.
Remedial Design Support: Support the development of sediment remediation plans under the guidance of senior engineers. Assist in designing remediation strategies such as dredging, capping, in-situ treatment, and stabilization for contaminated sediment sites.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation: Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and regulatory documents required for CERCLA compliance. Ensure that remedial designs and activities comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Project Coordination & Fieldwork Support: Help coordinate fieldwork and other project activities to support sediment remediation efforts. Assist in scheduling, planning, and tracking project progress to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
Client & Stakeholder Interaction: Provide updates to clients and regulatory agencies regarding project status. Assist in addressing client questions and coordinating regulatory approvals and permits as needed.
Health & Safety Compliance: Support the development and implementation of Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) for field projects. Ensure all field activities comply with health and safety standards and best practices.
Post-Remediation Monitoring: Assist with post-remediation site monitoring, including collecting data and preparing monitoring reports to assess the effectiveness of remediation measures.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or higher in Environment Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field AND 4, four plus years of experience and education or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
5 to 10 years of experience in sediment remediation or environmental engineering, with experience in sediment site investigations and remedial design.
Knowledge of sediment remediation technologies, including dredging, capping, and in-situ treatments.
Familiarity with CERCLA and other environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, Clean Water Act).
Basic understanding of sediment characterization techniques, contamination assessments, and environmental monitoring.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and some familiarity with environmental modeling or project management software is desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to support project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
Ability to manage smaller project components independently while working under the guidance of senior staff.

**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking a **Senior Sediment Remediation Engineer** in civil, geotechnical or environmental engineering with a focus on sediment remediation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, assessing, and implementing remedial solutions for complex sediment contamination projects in a variety of environments, including terrestrial, river, lake, and marine sites. Experience working under **CERCLA** (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act) is essential. Some of the Key Responsibilities are as follows:
+ **Sediment Site Assessments & Investigation:** Lead comprehensive sediment site investigations, including site characterization, sediment sampling, and contamination assessments. + **Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:** Prepare and review reports, regulatory submissions, and technical documentation required under CERCLA and other state/federal environmental regulations. Serve as the primary technical contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring that remedial strategies are in full compliance with applicable laws and permits.
+ **Project Leadership & Management:** Manage and oversee multiple sediment remediation projects from start to finish. Lead project teams, ensuring timely and successful project execution. Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to meet milestones and client expectations. Manage risk assessments, health & safety plans, and project documentation.
+ **Business Development & Client Growth:** Build and nurture strong relationships with potential clients, regulatory agencies, and industry stakeholders to expand the company's client base. Lead proposal development, including writing technical sections, cost estimates, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to submit competitive bids for new projects. **Qualifications**
Minimum Qualifications:
+ BA/BS degree or higher in Environment Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field AND 12, twelve plus years of experience and education or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Professional Certification such as: Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or any other advanced certifications in Environmental Science or related field

**AECOM** is seeking passionate talent with a customer focused mindset for Part Time Safety Service Patrol Operator positions in Colonial Heights, VA. These positions will be a direct report to the Safety Service Patrol (SSP) Supervisor and Management Team with direct public and multi-agency communications. Starting pay is $19.00hr.
**About this Opportunity**
Virginia's DOT Safety Service Patroller's play a key critical role in safeguarding motorists traveling the interstates by ensuring roadways are clear of debris, reporting highway maintenance issues and assisting stranded motorists. Our SSP program operates 7 days a week, 365 days per year, serving a critical role in the delivery of safety and mobility to the motoring public.
As this is a 24/7/365 operation center, schedules are dictated by operational need and stated in advance and will include on call duties. Schedules may vary and individuals selected will be required to successfully complete certification training.
The responsibilities of the SSP include, but are not limited to:
+ Establishing temporary traffic control for emergency responders and providing scene assistance.
+ Detecting incidents and disruptions in traffic.
+ Clearing obstructions and debris from the roadway.
The Safety Service Patrol also offers help to individual motorists, including:
+ Tire change assistance.
+ Fuel to get to the nearest gas station.
+ Jump starts.
+ Water for overheating radiators.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ High School Diploma and or equivalent certificate (GED) or 1 year of relevant work experience in lieu of education.
+ Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
+ Ability to drive, using an AECOM provided vehicle, patrolling and monitoring a segment of interstate roadway in an assigned region.
+ Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; must also successfully complete Virginia Department of Transportation fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
+ Possess a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record in the last 3 years, including no suspension of license or single violation that the department of motor vehicle treats as worth 6 demerits.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Sediment Environmental Scientist with lots of experience in contaminated site management with a focus on sediment investigation and remediation. This leadership position is ideal for a highly experienced environmental scientist who excels in managing complex sediment remediation projects, developing innovative solutions, and mentoring teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in sediment site assessments, remedial design, and implementation under CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act) regulations. This role requires a proven ability to drive high-level technical decisions, manage large-scale projects, and interact with clients and regulatory agencies at the highest levels.
As a Senior Sediment Environmental Scientist, you will take on a leadership role in managing and directing sediment remediation projects from concept through to post-remediation monitoring. You will be responsible for the strategic direction, technical quality, and regulatory compliance of multiple projects while mentoring junior and mid-level staff. Your role will involve working closely with senior management, clients, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with environmental regulations.
We are open to having the candidate work from any location within the US Mainland, in what is our preferred work model of a hybrid basis, but we are open to candidates working 100 percent remotely, depending on their current location within the US. We are also flexible to part time OR full time roles as well. Whatever situation fits your needs/wants best.
Some of the Key Responsibilities will be:
Leadership in Sediment Site Investigations & Characterization: Lead complex sediment site assessments, environmental investigations, and contaminant assessments in aquatic and terrestrial environments. Provide technical direction on sampling plans, data collection methods, and analysis of sediment, water, and biota to evaluate the extent of contamination and associated risks.
Strategic Remedial Design & Technology Leadership: Develop, oversee, and guide the design of advanced sediment remediation strategies for challenging sites, including dredging, capping, in-situ treatment, and ecological restoration. Lead the preparation of Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies (RI/FS), Remedial Action Plans (RAPs), and Risk Assessments tailored to site-specific conditions.
Regulatory Oversight & Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including CERCLA, RCRA, and other applicable environmental laws. Lead regulatory negotiations, prepare high-level reports for regulatory agencies, and manage the permit and approval processes for complex remediation projects.
Business Development & Client Growth: Build and nurture strong relationships with potential clients, regulatory agencies, and industry stakeholders to expand the company's client base. Lead proposal development, including writing technical sections, cost estimates, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to submit competitive bids for new projects. Assist senior leadership in developing strategies for market expansion, identifying emerging trends, and fostering long-term partnerships to support business growth.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary technical and strategic contact for clients, maintaining and building relationships with key stakeholders. Regularly provide high-level project updates, address technical challenges, and guide clients through decision-making processes. Ensure the timely delivery of reports, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables.
Health & Safety Oversight: Oversee the development and implementation of Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) for field projects, ensuring that all site activities are conducted safely and in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations. Post-Remediation Monitoring & Long-Term Site Management: Lead post-remediation monitoring efforts to assess the effectiveness of remedial actions. Ensure that monitoring programs are designed to track site recovery and compliance with remedial objectives. Oversee the preparation of post-remediation reports and long-term stewardship plans.
Team Leadership & Staff Development: Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff, providing technical guidance, project oversight, and career development support. Encourage knowledge-sharing and foster an environment of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Innovation & Technical Excellence: Drive innovation in sediment remediation practices, evaluating new technologies and approaches to improve remediation outcomes. Job Description
AECOM
is seeking experienced, creative, and highly talented Safety Service Patrol Operators across Virginia for Part Time positions working 1-19 hours weekly.
These positions will be a direct report to the Safety Service Patrol (SSP) Supervisor and Management Team with direct public and multi-agency communications. Starting pay is $17.50hr.
The responsibilities of the SSP include, but are not limited to:
Incident and disruptions in traffic detection.
Minimizing incident duration by participation of quick clearance techniques.
Clearance of debris and/or obstructions from the roadways.
Reversible roadway and high-occupancy vehicle gate operations support to ensure safe and incident-free lane change functions (where applicable)
Conducting pre and post-trip checks.
Scheduling and shuttle SSP vehicles for maintenance.
Perform routine cleaning and restock consumables in assigned vehicle.
Provide motorist assistance services.
Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
Maintain up-to-date training and certifications.
Other ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by the Project Management Team.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
:
High School Diploma and or equivalent certificate (GED) or 1 year of related work experience in lieu of education.
Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Ability to drive, using an AECOM provided vehicle, patrolling and monitoring a segment of interstate roadway in an assigned region.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; must also successfully complete Virginia Department of Transportation fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record in the last 3 years, including no suspension of license or single violation that the Motor Vehicle Department treats as worth 6 demerits.
Employees must also participate in monthly MVR monitoring program and maintain a satisfactory driving record as a condition of employment.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and successfully participate in the program's mandatory random drug screening process.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, moisture, dust, dryness, noise, and automotive-related chemicals (e.g., fuels, coolants, lubricants, etc.); position requires frequent operation of vehicles, lifting of less than 25 pounds, and work around heavy, moving, dangerous equipment; often standing/walking, repetitive bending & stooping, lifting of 25-75 pounds, working with arms above shoulder level, and power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.); occasional work at heights, and work on electrical circuits; rare lifting of greater than 75 pounds, and stair climbing.
Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
:
Five (5) years of driving experience.
Prior Safety Service Patrol Operator experience.
Knowledge/experience of incident management techniques.
Radio and telecommunications experience.
Possess or be able and willing to obtain CPR certifications.
Basic competency in using computers such as laptops, smart pads. Working knowledge of basic automotive repair.
Demonstrate positive customer service attitude - both to co-workers (internal customers) and Customers.
Ability to work alternate work schedules and on-call duties at a 24/7/365 operation center; Schedules are dictated by need of operation and stated in advance. Schedules will vary.
Able to maintain situational awareness at all times.
Adherence to all federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, regulations and standards related to traffic and motor vehicle operation and safety.
Ability to maintain a courteous and considerate demeanor at all times and constantly strive to provide customer excellence.
Willingness to consistently do their part to contribute and maintain a safe and secure workplace.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
High degree of autonomy in carrying out responsibilities requires a strong sense of judgement and self-motivation to perform, while also working in a team, collaborative environment.
Position is performed outdoors 100% of the time, along roadsides in an uncontrolled work environment.
Uniform compliance to ANSI 107 Class 3 standards and safety shoes meeting current ASTM F2413 standards (program provided).

Geographic familiarity with regional freeway system and arterial roads.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Sediment Remediation Engineer in civil, geotechnical or environmental engineering with a focus on sediment remediation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, assessing, and implementing remedial solutions for complex sediment contamination projects in a variety of environments, including terrestrial, river, lake, and marine sites. Experience working under CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act) is essential. This role requires a deep understanding of sediment contamination issues, including site assessments, remedial design, and long-term monitoring to mitigate environmental risks.
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key leadership role in project coordination, providing technical expertise, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the successful design and implementation of sediment remediation strategies. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to achieve project objectives and regulatory compliance.
We are open to having the candidate work from any location within the US Mainland, in what is our preferred work model of a hybrid basis, but we are open to candidates working 100 percent remotely, depending on their current location within the US. We are also flexible to part time OR full time roles as well. Whatever situation fits your needs/wants best.
Some of the Key Responsibilities are as follows:
Sediment Site Assessments & Investigation: Lead comprehensive sediment site investigations, including site characterization, sediment sampling, and contamination assessments. Review and interpret complex data from soil, water, and sediment samples to identify contaminants and risks. Conduct ecological risk assessments to inform remediation decisions.
Remedial Design & Implementation: Develop and oversee the design of innovative and cost-effective remedial strategies for sediment contamination, tailored to site-specific conditions in river, lake, marine, and terrestrial environments. Remedial technologies may include dredging, capping, in-situ treatment, bioremediation, or containment strategies. Ensure designs are compliant with CERCLA and other relevant regulations.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and review reports, regulatory submissions, and technical documentation required under CERCLA and other state/federal environmental regulations. Serve as the primary technical contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring that remedial strategies are in full compliance with applicable laws and permits.
Project Leadership & Management: Manage and oversee multiple sediment remediation projects from start to finish. Lead project teams, ensuring timely and successful project execution. Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to meet milestones and client expectations. Manage risk assessments, health & safety plans, and project documentation.
Business Development & Client Growth: Build and nurture strong relationships with potential clients, regulatory agencies, and industry stakeholders to expand the company's client base. Lead proposal development, including writing technical sections, cost estimates, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to submit competitive bids for new projects. Assist senior leadership in developing strategies for market expansion, identifying emerging trends, and fostering long-term partnerships to support business growth.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Provide strategic guidance, technical expertise, and regular updates on project status. Communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring transparency and client satisfaction.
Sediment Remediation Technology Innovation:
Stay at the forefront of emerging remediation technologies, tools, and techniques. Provide thought leadership and innovation in sediment remediation, evaluating and integrating new technologies to improve effectiveness, reduce costs, or speed up project timelines.

Professional Certification such as: Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or any other advanced certifications in Environmental Science or related field

Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering
15 years plus, of experience in environmental engineering, specializing in sediment remediation projects in complex environments (e.g., river, lake, marine, and terrestrial sites)
Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex sediment remediation projects, particularly under CERCLA guidelines
Experience managing and designing projects involving contaminants such as heavy metals, PCBs, dioxins, PAHs, and other persistent organic pollutants (POPs)
Expertise in sediment investigation techniques, including sediment coring, sampling, and laboratory analysis
Deep understanding of sediment remediation technologies (e.g., dredging, capping, in-situ treatment, stabilization, and bioremediation)
Extensive experience in the development and execution of Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies (RI/FS), Remedial Action Plans (RAPs), and long-term monitoring programs
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, specifically CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Water Act, and state-level regulations
Experience with ecological risk assessments and natural resource damage assessments (NRDAs)
Experience with project risk management, cost control, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, and technically accurate reports, regulatory documents, and proposals
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in managing client relationships, offering strategic guidance, and resolving client concerns.
