About this Opportunity Virginia's DOT Safety Service Patroller's play a key critical role in safeguarding motorists traveling the interstates by ensuring roadways are clear of debris, reporting highway maintenance issues and assisting stranded motorists. Our SSP program operates 7 days a week, 365 days per year, serving a critical role in the delivery of safety and mobility to the motoring public. As this is a 24/7/365 operation center, schedules are dictated by operational need and stated in advance and will include on call duties. Experience working under CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act) is essential.
