    Merrick is seeking an experienced Senior Scientist/Project Manager to join our team. This pivotal role requires the ability to lead broad range of science activities, including engagement planning; managing and utilizing staff resources to ensure team success; and supporting government counterparts. The successful candidate will provide direct support to Merrick clientele, ensuring seamless contract administration and effective project execution. Key responsibilities include managing cost and schedule; ensuring quality assurance; providing knowledge management; and demonstrating strong leadership, communication, collaboration/coordination skillsets. This is a hybrid position and requires residing in the Washington DC area and working at our client site in the Washington DC area at least two days a week. This position is not located at a Merrick office. Typical annual pay range for this position is $122,000.00 - $154,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO A significant aspect of this role is interfacing with the government client to ensure all deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.     Job Code **17365** \# of openings **1** Apply Now (**************************************************** Requisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=17365) **Company:** POWER Engineers, Inc. **Title:** Project Manager III **Worksite location:** Company Headquarters: 3940 Glenbrook Dr, Hailey, ID 83333 This is a fully remote position with unanticipated worksites. **Job Duties:** + Act as a primary point of contact for clients on substation engineering projects; + Organize electrical engineering teams to complete substation projects for various clients throughout the United States from 13.8kV up to 500kV; + Manage interdisciplinary design teams using CPM scheduling in Primavera P6 or MS Project; + Create engineering budgets and contract scopes for all projects using experience in budget and cost analysis and knowledge of Earned Value Analysis; + Review and understand client contract requirements for all project to be managed; + Organize and attend site visits to review existing site conditions before starting engineering for a project; + Manage proposal writing, status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each project; + Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team; + Provide Quality Control oversight for engineering deliverables; + Develop and maintain schedules, lead project meetings with project teams, oversee budgets, participate in proposal writing; + Manage medium to high-risk projects with total capital budgets of up to $200M; + Manage multiple projects simultaneously for large utility scale Investor-Owned Utilities, Developers, and Co-ops; + Collaborate with project design teams; + Assist with Business Development; + Coordinate construction outages with client teams to ensure timely completion of the project; + Oversee ordering of all substation materials for managed projects; + Promote company culture and manage internal and external client relationships; + Work from home benefit available. **Education Required:** Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or closely related Engineering degree. **Experience Required:** 10 years' experience as an Engineer in the High Voltage Substation industry. **Special Requirements:** Experience as an Engineer must include 5 years as a Project Manager in the High Voltage Substation industry. Demonstrable current knowledge of and prior experience in: + CPM scheduling in Primavera P6 or MS Project; + Budget and cost analysis; + Managing interdisciplinary design teams; + Proposal writing; + Managing multiple projects simultaneously; + Acting as primary point of contact for clients. **Travel Requirements:** Domestic travel up to 2 trip(s) per month, for a maximum of 8 days. **Work Hours:** Full time, 40 hours/week minimum.
