Merrick is seeking an experienced SeniorMechanical Equipment Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team of engineering and design personnel serving the Nuclear Services & Technology (NST) Business Unit (BU) in our project office/company headquarters in Greenwood Village, CO. This dynamic engineering group specializes in the design of prototype/one-off hot cells, gloveboxes and custom equipment for specialty research equipment and custom-designed, remotely operated mechanisms for handling radioactive and hazardous materials.
Typical annual pay range for this position is $125,400 - $162,300. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Execute advanced equipment designs such as hot cell and containment systems, material handling equipment, small-scale process & piping equipment.
* Lead a team of engineers and designers within the equipment design group.
* Support development of functional and operational requirements, design criteria, and identification of applicable codes and standards for new design packages.
* Support designs for nuclear facility system upgrades and equipment installations.
* Provide design direction and verification for the design deliverables, which typically include engineering studies, fabrication drawings, detailed equipment sizing & qualification calculations, integration and installation drawings, fabrication and procurement specifications, datasheets, and test plans.
