A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MESSENGER

As one of our Messengers , you play an essential role in ensuring on-time and accurate delivery of messages, documents and packages by way of inner-office and outer-office delivery runs. The position also receives and sorts incoming mail, and prepares and processes letters and packages for outgoing mail. Occasionally, you'll even get to use your brawn to move office furniture in preparation of incoming attorneys and clerks.

With your strong organizational skills you will effectively plan your routes for speed and efficiency. You are a team player and work with others to contribute to the success of the firm. Your strong people and communication skills will be helpful in providing exceptional internal and external customer service. Always willing to help, you respond in a timely manner to our attorneys, our clients, and your co-workers.

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR OUR MESSENGER POSITION

Are you highly organized , and able to work independently with little supervision? Are you able to plan travel routes for speed and efficiency ? Do you have can-do attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills ? • Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
• Ability to manage confidential information with a commitment to not view or reveal any of the material being handled

• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as stooping, balancing and lifting of heavy objects
• 4+ years driving experience with a clean driving record
• Personal vehicle, fully insured to use for messenger runs

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for daily collection and transportation of revenue from all drop safes and delivery of change requests to locations throughout USF, IOA, and City Walk. Responsible for daily collection, transportation and replenishment of assigned MIMO Cash Recycler machines. Responsible for resetting and updating MIMO machines. Troubleshoot and assist with any technical issues with the machines. This position interacts with all location managers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Collects currency and revenue from all drop safes; secures and transports the revenue to the Central Cashier Facility accompanied by Security at all times. Must meet minimum requirements for Messenger Metrics.

+ Transports MIMO cassettes to assigned MIMO machines, resets the machines and transports full cassettes to the Central Cashier Facility

+ Assist with any technical issues with the MIMO machines

+ Counts and verifies currency and delivers change requests to Food Service and Merchandise locations.

+ Adhere to the internal and dual control policies of UO and meet the minimum average of 2 points or below for over/short matrix points.

+ Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

+ 1-3 Years: Preferred courier experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Knowledge of Cash Recyclers or ATM machines.

+ Cash handling experience preferred.

Field services supplier for B2B sector of vending and coin operated machines is looking for Field Collectors to regularly service machines at client locations in the Chicago, Illinois (including 60 mi radius suburbs area).

The core duties include:

• Visiting assigned route of small business retail locations
• Collection activity of assigned accounts receivable
• Provision of status and issue reports.
• Logging and flagging technical or location promotion and marketing issues.
• Checking hardware and software configuration versions are up to date
• Logging software update and stock delivery requests if necessary
• Conducting basic repairs/resolving paper jams in the hardware.
• Systematic documentation of all daily collection activities is required
• Using company’s mobile phone application based system to check in/out at the start/end of the shift as well as at every location visited.
• Filling in Location Collection and End of Day/Route reports in the mobile database app, collection and uploads of the applicable location receipts and other agreed documentation.
• Endorsement/deposition all checks and cash as per agreed process rules on a daily basis.
• Counting and submitting the cash & supporting documentation to the Cash Collection Point Supervisor or Bank at the end of their shift.

Requirements:

• Own a vehicle (gas expenses compensated)
• Have clean Driver's License
• Have Concealed Carry Permit
• Confidence in building and maintaining relationship with business owners and managers at the locations.
• Good numerical and mathematical skills are a must.
