A Day in the Life Preparation: The day typically begins early (often 6:00 a.m.) but can start later depending on the hospital's schedule. Prior to the surgery, the clinical specialist loads and reviews the MRI and/or CT scans and performs the preoperative planning for the procedure. Our specialists work closely with the surgical team, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and operating room technicians to prepare for the day's procedure(s). Surgery: The primary focus of a clinical specialist's day is assisting with the navigation guidance during surgeries. This allows the surgeons to see in real-time where their instruments are in the patient's body by using an overlay on the 3D images of the patient's anatomy.
