Working with the front-end acquisitions team, responsible for all manufacturing activities associated with the acquisition and transition of product lines. Performs Due Diligence capabilities and risk assessment prior to acquisition of product lines. Receives training on all aspects of manufacturing products from the OEM (traveling to OEM site) and transitioning this knowledge to Extant manufacturing, including training of Extant personnel. Identifies any non-standard manufacturing processes associated with the products, develops mitigation plans, and sees them through implementation. Identifies and implements productivity, cost-reduction, and process improvement opportunities. Develops Extant Methods of Manufacture (MoM) and work instructions (Circuit Cams) based on the OEM work instructions with enhanced tribal knowledge obtained from OEM training. Supports Environmental Health & Safety Assessment for incoming manufacturing equipment, products, processes, materials, adhesives, and chemicals. Interfaces with management to present status, capital requests, or continuous improvement initiatives. This position will require significant travel (up to 50%), mostly U.S. based but occasionally abroad.
