* Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a Ph.D. degree in Optical Science, Optical Engineering, Opto-Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computational Imaging or relevant technical field

* 2+ years experience in at least one of the following areas of optical research: geometry optics, aberration theory, optical system prototyping

The goal of this role is to optimize the full-stack vision system spanning from the image sensor, device processors, cloud computation, and corresponding algorithms. Ideal candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of computational imaging, distributed computation, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms, and sensor nanophotonics. This position requires a deep understanding of AI infrastructure technologies and experience in conveying technical concepts to a diverse audience.

Minimum Qualifications
* 4+ years of technical pre-sales experience selling compute, storage, and network solutions or similar cloud-based AI infrastructure.
* Understanding and experience with AI/ML (Transformers, Deep Neural Networks, Reinforcement learning, ETL, Data Engineering, Data Processing PyTorch, Model Operations, AI Frameworks e.g. Langchain or similar)
* Understanding of hardware accelerators like GPUs and DPUs, including how they are utilized and sized to scale AI infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
* 10+ years of industry experience with 5+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role

What we're looking for:

2-3 years of completed CS classes (Intro to CS and Algorithms, Advanced Algorithms, Operating Systems and Data Structures are all great!)
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
