Applies abrasive compound, wax or other dressing to facilitate cleaning or polishing operation. Uses a flex-arm tap devise as well as hand tap holes when required. DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION High school diploma or GED required. Valid forklift license. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/SKILL One or more years satisfactory performance as a finisher. Able to read blueprints and travelers. RELATIONSHIPS: Develops close working relationship with material handlers and quality control personnel. Operate spot welding machines to weld metal components together based on specifications and blueprints. Inspect welded joints to ensure proper alignment and quality. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment. Work closely with the production team to meet production goals and deadlines. Follow safety protocols and wear proper protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing to check for defects or inconsistencies in welded joints. Keep accurate records of weld production and material usage. Troubleshoot and resolve any welding-related issues during production. What Are the Requirements of the Job? Proven experience as a Spot Welder or similar welding role. Knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ISO) is a plus. Experience with automated welding systems or robotics is a plus. Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
