As a Metal Building Erector, you will primarily be engaged in the erection, insulation, covering and trim portions of our metal buildings but may also participate in any other phase of the build or on any other construction project on an as needed basis. Requirements to apply - Skills, knowledge and abilities required for the role of Metal Building Erector: * Common understanding of standing seam/screw down roofs, pre-engineered metal buildings and structural steel. * Balance, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work on elevated platforms and equipment. * Familiar with blueprints. * Have professional, effective verbal communication skills. * Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions. * Ability to work well with others. * Good work ethic and self-driven. * Good attitude. * Safety Conscious. * General construction knowledge. * Ability to perform work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. * Must be able to lift up to 50lbs or more depending on materials. * Physical endurance to complete the necessary tasks. * Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks. * OSHA 10 is preferred. Job responsibilities and duties to include: Job responsibilities and duties to include: * Unloading, Material Handling, and Staging. * Framing. * Windows & Doors. * Fiberglass Insulation. * Wall Sheeting. * Exposed Fastener & Lap Seam Roofs. * Standing Seam Roofs. * Roof Penetrations and Curbs. * Flashing, Trim and Gutters. * Internal Gutters and Transitions. * Raising, placing, and installing steel columns, mainframes, girders, purlins, and other structural members to form complete structure. Currently our crews work Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Schedule is subject to change based on weather, workload or other factors based on business need. Qualified candidates must be able to perform all duties listed below safely and follow all the company's safety procedures. Great opportunity to travel to project sites throughout the US. Can reside anywhere within the US, this is a remote position that will be traveling to project sites as needed. Summary Per diem ($45 per day) Hotels paid by company Pay is based on Experience ($18.50 to $25.00 per Hour) Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance & 401K with Company match options Safety & Attendance Incentive Bonus Programs Classified as “direct hire” hourly position with full time benefits; not contract work Erect and install bolted steel tanks and/or domes Part of a 4-6-man field construction crew 100% continuous out-of-state travel working 6 to 7 days per week Requirements: Must be capable and willing to work continuously on the road up to 2 - 3 months Must work in all hot & cold weather extremes Must be capable of properly lifting a minimum of 150 pounds. Must provide and wear steel-toed boots. Must comply with all site and company safety rules and standards Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow safety procedures. Must be capable of passing basic tests on safety such as “Contractor Safety Council” Skills and Specifications for Construction Tank Assembler: Experience with Geodesic Domes and Bolted Tank Installation is a PLUS. Must be able to perform elevated work safely & confidently for extended periods while tied-off and wearing harness Knowledge and ability to use common measuring instruments and hand tools such as tape measures, level, or square. Ability to receive and comprehend verbal and/or non-verbal directions from Crew Foreman Use a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions, and other equipment to correctly assemble tank systems. Lift, carry, or guide machine aided movement of assembly material such as steel sheets, channels, tubes, mechanical fasteners, & other items as requested/needed for tank assembly. Education and Qualification for Construction Tank Assembler: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) Have current or able to obtain OSHA 10 hour training within the first 30 days of employment. This training is provided by the company for all new hires.
