    Reporting to the Brake Press Supervisor this role is primarily responsible for the daily setup and operation of Cincinnati hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes in a just-in-time fabrication shop with some assistance provided. The Brake Press Operator may be required to assist other operators as a helper on key work or machines as required. Responsibilities Set up and operate a hydraulic press or punch press for routine established work. Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance. Load, install and correctly set up the tools required with some assistance from a supervisor or a lead. Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system. Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed work. Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance. Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues. Maintain performance log books on assigned area equipment, report deficiencies to the maintenance team. Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong metal press forming and basic fabrication background. Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools. Demonstrated competency in basic shop math. Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids. Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance. Previous experience with overhead crane use is desired. Ability to use a forklift. Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change. Job Summary: To perform tasks necessary to efficiently control the operation of extrusion line from raw material input to finished product. Multiple Shifts Available: Rotating 12 hour shifts Day Shift - 6a-6p Night shift 6p-6a Job Duties: * Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse * Maintains a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents * Maintains company's quality standards * Operation of the extrusion line and its operational functions which would include but not limited to; machine set-up, films and resins, color concentrates and/or additives, production speeds (input or output), start and stop functions, change over, down times, die and screw tear down, screen pack, line specific tools and proper lock out/tag out procedures * Maintain extruded product to required gauge, length, width, bond strength, and color, dyne, maintaining surface finish or identifying surface defects and performing quality control tests required. This includes double check and data collection procedures currently in place * Transfers data to the daily production log book, quality control documents or forms used in the production process * Follow the production schedule and other related documents necessary to produce and meet customer orders including those with instructions * Communicate line malfunctions in a timely manner to ensure production downtime is kept to a minimal * Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1-2 years of experience or a forklift certification * Ability to read production tickets * Ability to work at an accelerated pace * Ability to perform math calculations; and measure using measuring tape or other instruments * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing * Must be computer literate * Must be dedicated to continuous improvement * Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of time Transcendia Business, is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Click here to view our Benefits Snapshot JOB OVERVIEW Press Brake Operators use computer numeric controlled (CNC) press brakes to shape metal parts and tools with precision bends. Daily tasks include using hand tools, tape measures, performing decimal and metric conversions, and operating overhead cranes and forklifts. ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to) Operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal components Work in a fast-paced environment while following instructions and maintaining self-motivation Perform accurate measurements using tape measures, calipers, and other tools Read and interpret blueprints, including calculating bend allowances Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with team members Verify materials after use and report issues promptly Routinely lift 40-50 lbs; occasionally up to 90 lbs Stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) Ability to work required overtime as needed QUALIFICATIONS Education: high school diploma or equivalent (GED); technical degree preferred.
