You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, push for continuous multi-platform weather coverage (linear, streaming, web, app, and social), and deliver weather information in modern, engaging, and impact-driven formats. We are looking for a meteorologist who values coaching, embraces receiving feedback and provides feedback to the meteorology team, and is eager to evolve beyond traditional chronological presentation styles. Responsibilities: Develops and executes the station's strategic weather coverage plan while producing and delivering engaging daily weather forecasts including original weather content for the Station's streaming platforms, websites, app, and linear broadcasts. Must be assertive with warning the community to severe and inconvenient weather through declaring weather alert days and interact with the audience on all linear and digital platforms. Supervises the weather team, including scheduling, while providing ongoing coaching, mentorship, and regular performance feedback. Assists News Director with recruiting and hiring for the weather team. Assists News Director and news managers to develop plans for severe weather coverage. Leads coordination and implementation of technological advances related to graphics Participates in community outreach efforts including live shots and station appearances as required Perform other tasks as required by News Director Requirements: Bachelor's degree in meteorology; AMS Certification Minimum 5-7 years of on-air meteorology experience Demonstrated leadership experience Strong communication skills (written/verbal) Ability to work under pressure while meeting daily assigned deadlines Applicable knowledge of multiplatform newsgathering tools and resources Fluent with social media platforms and social management tools, including Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube and other relevant media platforms. Responsibilities for the Environmental Services Technician (Laundry) position include: Focus on laundry with ability to float to other areas within the environmental services team as needed. Additional duties could include vacuuming, moping, sweeping, dusting assigned residential rooms and common areas. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Basic computer knowledge including ability to complete required online safety classes. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
